Charge of Darkness sucks so much? (6267 reads, 26 replies, 1 year ago)

Is this skill worse than before? 4 seconds charge for merely 2.5 seconds stun O_o. In past i can use it in combat and skirmish (double stuns), but now is Charge of Darkness only used when no enemy hero see me? I know it gives magic immunity, but what the point if i can't use it in battle (only initiate) and escape like before. E.g if i am ganked can CoD do anything?

I only played few CW games per month so i never saw Spiritbreaker for a long time (and too lazy to read changelog of many versions). If i'm wrong, pls forgive me. He was one of the most useless heroes in high level game (only good in 1v1, hard to farm..etc), and now does he suck more O_o?

cw room mostly ply cm mode== and cm mode is auto banned spirit breaker so u never saw spiritbreaker in cw

Haha so Icefrog isn't god of balance after all. I never like Sb but after such a long time, i expected he got major buff so i played him again. Confused and disappointed.

Just charge and rightclick directly after the hero you are charging and you run directly towards him and stun him without the 4 seconds charging time.

The name itself speaks..Charge means there is this channeling or casting time.. And yes i agree that SB needs some various buffs in order to be used in various competitive games.

You don't need to wait 4 seconds. If you wait 4 seconds you get maximum acceleration. You can, at any time, right click the hero you are charging to immediately go. If used creatively I think SB can show some promise. Maybe.

Ah, sorry, don't know this. But still need atleast 2 seconds charge to reach maximum speed, and very suck at control lane unlike other stun skills.

The good thing about this changes is the fact that he does have a role now, as the "tanking initiator" (like a Centaur, Rexxar or Axe), but still being much worse than all the other options (except that he doesn't need a dagger, unlike the others).

The fact that charge may take 4 seconds to get him moving is useful when ganking invisible enemies. If you don't want to take so long, you don't need to - just as long as you can (you don't need maximum acceleratin if you are close to the enemy, anyway).

But that's pretty much all of it (making him still almost useless).

Still, all in all, it's a bit better than before, when he wouldn't serve any purposes.

But is there any other hero THIS bad?

No.

Competition-wise, he is, factually and statistically, the worst hero in the Dota heroes pool, in the whole history of Dota. And yes, I have made torought research on this.

That sum up everything there is to say about him.

I can't think of a more useless hero in CW's than Spirit Breaker. He's all around horrible, but his worst part is the laning phase / early game. The only thing he can do is pretty much to last hit. The only useful skill he has is his ulti, which is horrible for an ulti anyways.
