its yamateh build, u get better lane control by doing that, at least u hurt them more. dont worry about that, there are many skill order for that hero. just because yamateh do that doesnt mean that u should do that as well. if im not mistaken this is the game that beastmaster destroy lancer relic as well hehehe.

Really dude. Dota is always about logic and common sense, even at skill order or item build. there is no perfect solution. the game is dynamic and require in depth analysis in order to make a decision (even as basic as item build or skill build).

Just do what u think is right and master it. Yamateh can go sadist first, heartstopper aura first or even stat first and still own if he go against noobs so it didnt make any difference.

But for mee, sadist first is the way to go... I can abuse my pulse more.

sometimes there is no 'make sense' explanation to everything. Some people can accept it, some people dont see it as making sense at all. Some will make error judgement and make mistake.

I remember Yamateh tinker vs mushi rhasta solo mid.

Yamateh go boots first (instead of buying more consumables and mantles for extra last hitting power).

Given the tendency that Mushi often solo mid and he is actually playing rhasta. One may assume that there is very high chance he will go mid (that means he should expect to face mushi rhasta solo mid).

Then u buy boots against him? The guy that supposed to be one of best last hitters / farmers in dota history?? Well, doesnt make sense for me, but prolly it make sense for Ymt (better harassment, escape? bla bla bla etc). Or maybe he just make error judgement, I dont know. But for all i know, i know Mushi is not some noobs u can stream rolled easily and there is little chance he can kill him at 1v1 situation. So if its up to me, I would say that buying boots first was a mistake.

Thats why I never jump into conclusion that every move / action / decision by the pro dota gamers must be followed. One must understand the reason of such action / decision before making conclusion and in some cases, it comes to a matter of opinion.

before bloodstone changes when int carriers (krobelus and necro) were popular pulse+stats or even pulse+aura were the most common builds, they helped having lane control and more presence in mid game where you want charges.

the current metagame (or the way most teams play) is more focused around ganks and pushes, so you cant turtle anymore 60 min until you have that fat necro with hex, hood, bloodstonex10 and shivas, sadist became very important to keep your mana up when farming, in the end is just a matter of opinion and decision like #2 said

I probably said a lot of things wrong, but this is just the way I see it

well saddist lvl 2 is enough for gain mana, and if uve got a maiden or smth, no need saddist at all.

aura is rly helpfull or even stats.

This should be in dota strategic forum instead of here. Maximizing aura on lvl 7 or 8 gives good lane control providing that u can lvl fast enough. I usually get it later when 1% of opponents life is quite a dmg. But early it can serve as a sort of harassment to enemy heroes on lane. Still not skilling sadist early is not a valid option imo even if u have cm aura.

#9 Yes, but if you went for a pulse+sadist build you will max aura in levle 13 or 14.
