something that woked with me:

start your 2-3 picks with heroes that fit in almost any team, such as tide, cm, venge, lion, mirana and so on...
then use the last 2 picks to counter their team and choose the best carrier against them.

note: i used to be a serious gamer many versions ago, now i just troll around...
but it might work

well you had to know the top heros list ( the heros who should be taken )
heros such as ( Tide / Slardar / sven / brood / venge / cm / pugna etc )
befor u want to pick you had to choice the start ( Pushing - agrrsive < ganking> - defensive < turtle > ) so pick the heros who fit with these start.

When u want to pick a double lane heros make sure they fit togather for example :
u picked es and then picked lion as his lane partner , well that dosnt fit with there combo togather and will make the other lane have the advange ( well its good if you faced a solo hero but aginst the double lane it will fail )
each hero have the perfect lane partner like :
Kunka ( venge / wl / WD )
ES ( mirana / puck / Ezalor / )
Sandking ( Mirana / puck / lina )
phantomlancer ( Ezalor / cm )
etc etc .
You had to ban the heros desbending on who will take the first pick for example :
ur enemy will be the first pick then u had to ban ( cm / venge / tide / pugna)
or u are the first pick u had to ban ( Slardar / sven / brood / na )
there is a reason behind this cuz if u were the first pick and u didnt ban the brood then the enemy will take it in the last pick so u would'nt counter her.
and if u wanted to take heros like chen you had to take it as last too so the enemy dosnt counter it with enchatress.

befor i tell you about how u think to put ur heros in lanes u had to know something.

if u were scourge the top lane will be easier to farm with carrys or u can put a range solo hero in that lane , bot lane is harder then top cuz the push will be always in next to there tower wich means it will be harder to farm and more risky to get killed , and for mid its the safest lane since it hard to gank mid bcuz of vision wich maens u cant ambush the hero , and double lane can do pretty good aginst the solo lane so thats mean the have the advantge.

You had to think about the lanes for example :
you have (scourge ) ( cm / phantomlancer / storm / sandking / mirana)
your enemy have( sent ) ( Viper / sf / eneigma / es / puck )
as u can see ur enemy will place the heros like this ( two solo'rs / 1 double lane
/ forest hero)
so thats means u had to put cm and pl in bot lane to face the soloer wich mean the pl will be free farmed since its a double lane aginst the solo.
so thats my point just think wisely
PS ( i know my english isnt great i hope u understand my points )

In drafting. First and foremost you must know your teammates' abilities both strength and weaknesses. Priority of the picks must be based on your teammates abilities, How good the hero is in the current version comes second. Players play their full potential when they are comfortable in the hero that they are playing. Counterpicking and Strategies comes after that.

Watch a lot of replays and focus on picks and laning. Look for its weaknesses and learn how to counter them.

New strategies are all from your imagination. Practice and dedication is what makes a strategy strong.
Takes 5 to win and 5 to lose
