Whats so noob about using chaos meteor early on you? you can easily kill 2 hero on just 1 combo. At level 6 you can easily kill 2 hero using chaos meteor and then deafening blast. The cooldown of emp is so long, if your opponents uses bottle than i guess its useless.

My question is why waste youself using invoker when your going to use emp build, ill rather use anubarak if my aim is to mana burn my oppoent. Invoker is the offense type not a defense type thats why id rather go to deaf-meteor build than later on 2 forge spirit rather than wasting my time on emp. Honestly i tried that build wex build i notice the difference wex build will get you a limited kill and youll die a lot.

Please use him daily first before making some of your rude comments. And try a different build ok?

Icefrog have already improved chaos meteor particularly the damage and still u wanted to go to emp build LOL.

This is the results of your build

1. its either you have a low level quas which makes your ICEWALL not that effective, forge spirit that can only summon 1 instead of two, low regenaration

2. low level exort youll have LOW DAMAGE. All skills have low damage like chaos meteor deaf blast etc and less farming and less creep deny

3. This is your build youll have hi level wex you will have emp which burns mana with a cooldown of 25secs and casting cost of 125 (which can easily be dodge)

4. Youll get overrun by your opponents

5. GG KIDZ

hi again.

#coprozor:
i think he made it quite clear why he went for tanking items: to cast spell :)). if you have 1000hp/2000mana, you can't even survive the initial chain of spells thrown at your face (and u should most of the time be the 1st to be nuked with such pathetic hp) and will die with most likely 1500mana left unused. while if you have like 2000hp/1000mana, at least u unleash 5 or 6 spells, and if you get killed, u go down as a real man with 0hp/0mana :)) and tank load of nukes for your allies.
don't know if u have read what i said earlier, but one of the MOST ANNOYING thing abt invoker is the average-to-long cooldown on most spells, and plus the fact that the cooldown "clock" of a spell doesn't show when u invoke another. theoretically, u can throw 10 spells out at a time with imba fast fingers, but in reality, most of the time u should save something as a last resort to run or chase or whatever the situation calls for, or simply b/c spells are on cooldown, and u have to wait, or even have to think of other alternatives.

#keiser:
the build he coprozor propose is not exactly worthless, though it certainly is not as effective in terms of killin' and blowin' up stuff. it is viable, as well as many other builds for invoker, but it requires totally different playstyle as well as the level of support from your allies ingame.
for example, going a max-wex-1st-max-quas-2nd invoker will grant you ultimate disabling power: tornados up to 2.5sec at 3200 Maxrange, deafening blast's knockback+pacify for 3 or 4 sec, coldsnap's ministun, icewall's slow, and a very powerfull EMP that burn 400mana (and 200damage) EACH. the damage output is ofc very low, but in teamfights, you throw emp, then immediately tornado on the spot to keep them in the aoe (around midgame, most str or agi heroes have like 500mana, intels 1000). then after they landed (and your team in close-to-perfect position, with your team's mortred alacritied), u blast them for a good 1 sec knockback, after that, the enemies cannot attack, and with 400mana burned, most can't cast spells (at least not as many times as they want to). BAM! their frontline goes down in a flash. u then proceed to switch to 3wex to chase down the rest. runnin'? icewall them. teleportin'? snap them. more runnin'? tornado is up again with 3200 cast range, try to run.
this kind of build will not give you the ultimate solo-killin' power of exort build, but rather a highly-team-oriented and supporter-like invoker. such invoker most often will fail in pub b/c your support will go to waste if your allies can't take advantage of the disabling power u offer.

if u like, check out this guide on playdota.com by Esryok as reference for your guide.
http://www.playdota.com/guides/the-omnimage

there are many weird builds, such as max-quas+radiance invoker to take advantage of coldsnap ministun and ghostwalk slow :)), or max-wex +basher to bash the hell out of your foes lol.

PS: moar vids pls. stil waiting for ur guide. glhf

Congratulations for your invoker, one of the best i've ever seen!
I was wondering if you ever tried the build necromicon with invoker, which synergizes very good with cold snap and forged spirits (+life, damages, etc).

thx for the reps!

skill builds like that make you too reliant on your team, and we all know we shouldn't rely on others too much when playing pub ^^ (unless playing in a stacked team).
and yeah, i don't like that build either. nothing is more frustrating than going a supporting invoker, and after using emp, tornado, blast ... to initiate, your nooby allies just don't move in in time and the enemies just get away. mbe if pro gamers play, it will be different. still, most people i have seen playing invoker (pajkat, misery...) still to go for the exort build.

@lordgiant- yup i dont really agree with that kind of build support. You can also be a support with exort build because you have all the skills. If you go to wex build youll be losing the 2 forge spirit and also the effectivity of ice wall, coldsnap which is very much used in tournaments. I have used invoker on most of my tournaments here in the Philippines.

@tehboos thanks
