hi again.
#coprozor:
i think he made it quite clear why he went for tanking items: to cast spell :)). if you have 1000hp/2000mana, you can't even survive the initial chain of spells thrown at your face (and u should most of the time be the 1st to be nuked with such pathetic hp) and will die with most likely 1500mana left unused. while if you have like 2000hp/1000mana, at least u unleash 5 or 6 spells, and if you get killed, u go down as a real man with 0hp/0mana :)) and tank load of nukes for your allies.
don't know if u have read what i said earlier, but one of the MOST ANNOYING thing abt invoker is the average-to-long cooldown on most spells, and plus the fact that the cooldown "clock" of a spell doesn't show when u invoke another. theoretically, u can throw 10 spells out at a time with imba fast fingers, but in reality, most of the time u should save something as a last resort to run or chase or whatever the situation calls for, or simply b/c spells are on cooldown, and u have to wait, or even have to think of other alternatives.

the build he coprozor propose is not exactly worthless, though it certainly is not as effective in terms of killin' and blowin' up stuff. it is viable, as well as many other builds for invoker, but it requires totally different playstyle as well as the level of support from your allies ingame.
for example, going a max-wex-1st-max-quas-2nd invoker will grant you ultimate disabling power: tornados up to 2.5sec at 3200 Maxrange, deafening blast's knockback+pacify for 3 or 4 sec, coldsnap's ministun, icewall's slow, and a very powerfull EMP that burn 400mana (and 200damage) EACH. the damage output is ofc very low, but in teamfights, you throw emp, then immediately tornado on the spot to keep them in the aoe (around midgame, most str or agi heroes have like 500mana, intels 1000). then after they landed (and your team in close-to-perfect position, with your team's mortred alacritied), u blast them for a good 1 sec knockback, after that, the enemies cannot attack, and with 400mana burned, most can't cast spells (at least not as many times as they want to). BAM! their frontline goes down in a flash. u then proceed to switch to 3wex to chase down the rest. runnin'? icewall them. teleportin'? snap them. more runnin'? tornado is up again with 3200 cast range, try to run.
this kind of build will not give you the ultimate solo-killin' power of exort build, but rather a highly-team-oriented and supporter-like invoker. such invoker most often will fail in pub b/c your support will go to waste if your allies can't take advantage of the disabling power u offer.

there are many weird builds, such as max-quas+radiance invoker to take advantage of coldsnap ministun and ghostwalk slow :)), or max-wex +basher to bash the hell out of your foes lol.
PS: moar vids pls. stil waiting for ur guide. glhf |
