What Twisted said.

+ I started with like WAY less than 50$ a year ago, didn't play much but I feel satisfied from what I've won so far in poker :)

p.s- for those who wants to know i started with 10$ on one poker network, 5euros on another and 50cents on 3rd :) so 50$ would have seem so much a year ago.

The reason SC players (RTS players) suceed in poker aswell as starcraft is imo:

StarCraft includes different races with different abilites you have to master differently and each matchups requires a different approach, just as every pokertable is unique and you need to adapt to it. StarCraft is based on limited information.

So you have to figure out what your opponent is planning and what strategy he is executing. In poker its just the same as you also get limited information through betting patterns, reads, and what community cards you share.

In StarCRaft you need to be able to make quick decissions and multitask alot.
This opens to playing alot of tables in poker and therefore gaining expirience much faster than avg palyers.

Also StarCraft players tend to play alot and review their games after so they have a good platform to question their pokergame aswell after a session.

That is imo some of the reasons starcraft players like: Rekrul, Beast, Elky, Grrr, Twisted, Joe, DIDI, MIdian (could go on forever) are sucessfull pokerplayers.

I would rephrase the sentence slightly. It sounds like just because you play StarCraft you can play good poker as well. It should rather be; if you're a successful and/or talented StarCraft player, you might as well be talented in poker.

But I get what you mean, even though I'm not convinced this is 100% certain. On the other hand, it as well not be a coincidence.

You could put it really simply though. If you're above average in intelligence and you put some (a lot of) effort into it, everyone can win in poker given the right environment to learn it. Same with Starcraft really, if you play shitloads of starcraft and you're a pretty smart guy you can become really good at starcraft as well.

Their coaches are great, not sure how good they are for starting players because I know only Twisted and D_Zoo of the coaches and they're more for midstakes players wanting to improve...

The Banner had a slightly altered version of the druplicon (1)on it, which is very strange, because its so different from the corporate identity of ballerpoker.

who made that banner, gosugamers or ballerpoker?

Yes I know, the 1st version of bp.com had some cheap template from our webhotell. When we realized the drupal icon case we got it changed aswell. Our former webmaster had not notified us about it and we thought this was something he had made himself.

No we are much better than pokerstrategy because our coaches has much more quality and have good reputation and I would not hesitate in a showmatch or something like that. Pokerstrategy gives a very bad understanding about online poker and only makes people play a very basic game which is easily exploitable and not really profitable. Also our partnersites gives much more of what they earn back to the players so that they dont keep it all themselfs. This means alot of money going back to the players instead of the pokerrooms or affiliates like on pokerstrategy

100% agree

Pokerstrategy really sucks ...
i ve always found their content so basic and meaningless ....

tried to win with their style but never suckeeded except for very marginal 2BB/100 boring scared nit style on mico limits ...

then i found Liquidpoker and Leggo
and lol now i make more than i ever dreamed off ...

ALlthough i am not sure u would win the showmatch since allthough their strategy input totally sucks some of their coaches are sick good !

FA_Morgoth for Tourneys
Schnibl0r for Limit and NL5K +
Korn for Limit

just an example
