cant really say sc has better micro than wc3, and vice versa, and its not micro that makes the pros what they are, its their overall gameplay, even if they are weaker at somethings than others, their overall skills is what puts them at a much different skill level than some average bnet player, wc3 has its differences, like creeping that camp then attacking ur opponent can be the difference between dominating ur opponent or losing horribly ( whether u have super duper micro or not) , sc makes u focus against ur opponent from the start, but has different stuff that wc3 seems to lack, or exclude all together.. both games require immense skill, can the wc3 pros be sc pros? maybe but theyll have to put tons and tons of work to start climbing to the sc pro seen, and vice versa..and its just silly to say one is much more difficult than the other cause if that was true then whoever says that... plz be a pro at the easier one? :)

Micro in Warcraft isn't eassier then in SC. Micro isn't just APM. It is also timming, tactics, reactions and accuracy. Plz people get of the APM bandwagon. Weakened units in WC are kept in the fight untill the last possible moment. This way you do maximum damage.

Starcaft looks a lot faster, to play WC3 good gives you plenty of things to do. The result look less spectecular then the SC megaslaughter. The best still wins.

As i said earlier sc is about multitasking micro, microing many units in many places. wc3 is about small army micro

wc3 players get mad at what i say because i imply that wc3 requires less multitasking and skill thus less brainpower, but wow its true (but not necessarily that wc3 players are dumber)

Newb starcraft players and many wc3 players don't know what im talking about because your ignorant as sh*t when it comes to high levels of sc and f*ck if u multitask in wc3..

And guess what: in SC you don't need only multitasking but you also control units individually at times. Yeah, what you think why so many people are complaining about smart cast in SC2? Because it takes away individual unit micro!

it's not like wc3 would be comparable to a 50 supply fight in starcraft.... thats total crap. but take this: in starcraft you have a good chance to get back into the game. you might lose some smaller fights but still be in the game. in wc3 you can't really afford to lose a single fight with a lot of dead units. so you REALLY have to watch out. I do know that sc is really hard and i admit that as well, but please tell me, to what degree have you been into wc3??
bnet lvl, cups, esl or sth? if you made it to lv 50 u have the right to tell me all that, but i highly doubt it.

I know what my friends tell me about WC3 (mostly chobos) and they all say that WC3 is easy as hell. Easy for chobos. The ladder. That says enough, and I've also seen WC3 VOD's and they are awful to watch, they move around and kill creep, then they sneak a hero into an expansion for a worker raid and then run for their life (looks like slow-mo to me because WC3 units are just... slow). The game is quite easy to understand, I've played it at a LAN once and that was enough to know the mechanics. I've even seen a hero that replenishes its life so fast you can't kill that thing without focusing your whole army on it. And then just before it dies it teleports away that's so much uber-micro wow amazing. WC3 micro is about as challenging as watching homemade porn.

LOL thats like the same shit with SC, im a wc3 player and i can still own in SC just by massing. if i were u i wouldnt talk about anything since "u just watch" u think u understand maybe only the noob's play. i bet u dont even understand the VOD of the pros.

No offense to anyone here but person that doesn't play both games on a relatively high level can't really say anything. I've played both and suck in both. But I know at least that you cant really compare the micro in both games. I mean yeah.. SC is faster, there's a lot more macro/multitasking aspect and you have to be pretty much aware of every god damn move your opponent is doing and be able to counter that. SC micro is a lot more all around and "big scaled" except for the early game (probe harrass and couple of other things etc) In wc3 you dont really need to be that fast and you can do relatively well for less than 200apm (and no. dont give me that bullshit that sc player has to have at least 400 apm to be good. savior for example had always relatively low apm when he was concidered invincible (around 200 if i remember right) But In wc3 the micro has a completely different meaning than sc. In wc3 micro is pretty much the same thing as caring for your units. since if they die.. even few of them that might cost you the game. in wc3 you dont have to shitting your pants every time you see some movement on your minimap but you still have to be aware of your surroundings. Battles have pretty much completely different meaning in both games. in sc you are fighting all the time and pretty much need to be on your toes the whole game trying to find some weak spot where as in wc3 it mostly all comes down to one big showdown at the end of the game.(of course there'r harrassment, small battles here and there that change the flow of the game) it all comes down to that final moment. and that final battle is the ultimate test of your microing skills. targetting right units at the right times, casting spells, countering enemy spells, using items, using skills of each unit(nearly all units in wc3 have some special skill) microing focused/low hp units away and taking advantage of your opponents mistakes. As a experienced but bad player of both games I'd say that you cant really compare these games at all. AT least the micro aspect. PS. my first over 3 word post to this site ever :)

hmm my post doesnt really make any sense since it's not easy to explain, but still i tried my best =D. And NO im not claiming to be a person that has played both games on high level, but since i love both games i can at least be ... lets say "neutral" and see the different aspects of both games

Im a Starcraft fanboy. I played some WC3 also. It is not easier to micro in WC3. If it is easier to win in one game or the other it tells something about the level of your oponents not the game. Sometimes the micro in SC gets subpar by multitasking, unitcontrol gets sacrificed for flawless macro. Thats what makes SC micro different.

Im not gosu in either game. When I watch a replay I know what the players are doing and why and are going to do.

I just have slow hands. That no amount of training can fix.
