I dont think grots was serious with his comment, otherwise it would not speak for him ;)
But there are people in this world who tell others that this kind of music contains violence, satanism and so on and so on.... sad but true.

Btw.: We are at 13,2,% and getting closer to the top with every vote. Maybe we can get some more? ;)

That's also nice because he has a nice band that I think deserves to play with Morbid more than the others

BUT

That is also very wrong if you ask me :/ because being a community only goes so far ... if you don't really like the band then you shouldn't really vote it's unfair and bm imo

Ye, you are right.
But I didn´t say I don´t like the band nor the music.
No one can say why he or she likes a band or music, there are many factors that count. One can be, the drummer is a relative. Or it reminds you of a nice situation or what else.
So even if it´s not my kind of music I can support the band just because of the fact one of them is playing a game I like without having a bad feeling about it.
Just my opinion.

Hmmm. you are right, I am glad to get the votes of the community. And you are right to say that it can be sort of unfair if people vote without even reading the OP.
BUT,
If I like people in a community and they ask for a favor, I will do this:
I check them out, regardless if I like what they do genre wise. If I see that they know what they are doing and they are good at what they are doing I will give my vote to support someone doing a great job and being part of the community.
If someone asks for a favor and I check out that he is just doing shit and wants votes regardless of this I wont vote and would tell him he should improve and if he does I would vote for him at the next contest :)

I think you are very right with your opinion. I dont look out for such contests but when its posted in a community I like from people being nice, its definitly worth it to support them.

It brought us from 18,8% to 19%.

I will tell MA about Broodwar and its community which helped if we really win :) I wonder what they think about this. (If they care anyway ;) )
