In order to eliminate any possible issues with the listchecker one might occur at DreamHack, we bring you a fast 'How To'.

What is the purpose of listchecker (LC)?
Simply to deliver lag reduced DotA by adding a LAN game to Battle.net games list, hence acquiring a direct connection to the host.

Instalation
Firstly, go to Index of /listchecker which is the homepage of the program. If you don't use Banlist, you will have to install Wincap. The installation should not be problematic, you will need administrator privileges though, and after the installation reboot your computer.

Once you have Wincap, download all three files from the Index of /listchecker and put them all in the same directory on your computer. The directory itself is unrestricted.

Configuration
The only thing left to do is configuring the .ini file. Simply open the file in your basic text module software, like Notepad in Windows, and it should look similarily to the code in quote

Let's assume the descriptions are self-explanatory, and not dig into them except for the host port - do not change it, because this is the default gaming port of Warcraft3, hence majority of players use it, and if you change it to an exotic one, you might cause other gamers to have problems joining your host.

Creating a game
Run the pickup.listchecker.exe, run your TFT, go to LAN, and host a game with the same nickname as your Battle.net account. Failing to do so might result in a ban from server [; If you correctly edited the .ini file, you should have also another player in the game with you, named listcheker or something similar. It's a bot which leaves once a real person joins you. Then type /hostbnet GN where GN is your desired game name. You should get few lines of chat from your listchecker friend, and if everything went ok, the last line will say something like Your game has been created with success. Now only /pingclients, result of this command is by default copied into your clipboard, hence just paste it. From now on, you can simply run the game!

I did exectly what u said, but when i tried to create a game all i get from Listchecker is "Connecting to Azeroth.battle.net on port 6112" when i use this command /hostbnet Dota -Ar pro

I use this as my server "bnetnetwork=Azeroth.battle.net"

Now did i do something wrong?

yes. The realm name is not the address itself. It should be useast as far as i remember. 99% sure

Another interesting command is hostbnetpublic, if you want to play other things for fun, like Uther's Party or Archery Tactics ;)

I followed all the instructions and as i run pickup.listchecker.exe, i recieved a message saying my TFT is using the same port 6112 and recommend me to choose a different port for TFT. It also provided 3 options:
Option 1: Click "Yes" to allow automatically change to my TFT port.
Option 2: Click "No" to manually change TFT port.
Option 3: Click "Cancel" to close the program, blow up your computer, burn your house, etc.

Should i choose option 3?

keff: afaik it is compatible if you run it in the compatibility mode or however its called...

to everbody, lately the program DotA Client became quite popular, if i finally got myself far enough to get into the program i will introduce it to this page.

Uh, I installed winpcap and lc, but how do I "Configure" the .ini ? another words, where do i go to get to it where i can add in the blanks and do i need hyphens for the cd-key?
