PGL Major Kraków 2017 - Asia Minor Championship talent revealed

A former pro and a few fan-favorites will be manning the analytics desk for the $50,000 tournament.

The talent pool for the PGL Asia Minor Championship was revealed on PGL's Twitter this morning, including three casters and two experts, who will add more analytics to matches. Longtime caster Paul "Redeye" Chaloner will host the tournament, with casting provided by Vincent "Metuz" Hill and Dustin Mouret. Former Ninjas in Pyjamas coach Joona "natu" Leppänen will take up the analytics desk, along with Sudhen "Bleh" Wahengbam. Esports fans across multiple games should be able to recognise Redeye, with his casting experience ranging from multiple iterations of Quake to Dota 2 and Starcraft. He also casted Counter-Strike: Source back in the day, all of which lead to his current standing as one of the most respected eSports figures of all time.

As for casting, both Metuz and dusT were on the talent list at the recent Subaru Invitational 2017, and both were involved in the Esports Championship Series Season 2 Europe as an analyst and commentator respectively. Both have also casted in the Intel Extreme Masters tournament series.

The PGL Asia Minor Championship includes two invited teams - Renegades and Tyloo - along with six teams that battled it out in regional qualifiers: China's Flash Gaming, East Asia's The MongoIZ, Middle East's Team Spotnet, Oceania's Team Immunity and India/SEA's two qualifying teams, Signature Gaming and 7642. First place will receive $30,000 while second will be awarded $15,000 and third will get $5,000. Playoffs begin June 1.
