| its not the carries that they should ban against EHOME..IMO it's the amazing and flawless support that makes their carries more deadly..i mean ban support heroes that EHOME usually pick like VS, Lion, ES,WD, maybe it wud make a little difference...dai(x) is really a great supprt esp with his amazing lion..this also proves that asia (china) are not only good at boring farmfest and rice game..ESWC proved that and EHOME as well ..i mean lion + dagger build is for efficient ganking/killing by the team and not for farming purposes.. |

| #495 best comment ever. The most entertaining replays versus the "best" replays are quite different. BG vs AEON was entertaining but it wasn't quite the most skillful, you could see several mistakes from both sides, mistakes creating fun battles and pickoffs that made it such a great battle. And the "best" replays I have seen ever are the EHOME vs LGD.sGTy replays. The ONLY real time I have "wow"ed at micro and macro. 20 total kills in a game for 40 minutes might seem boring but that is efficiency. ZSMJ versus AAA micro farming battles. Support battles, warding battles, TP-timing, counter ganks, perfect buy-backs, efficient kiting, etc. They have almost perfected dota into an art form based on efficiency. On the other hand I think the only reason they were able to do so was their advantage of large sponsorships, dedication, analyzing by managers, and support in a fanbase overall for motivation. I'm glad that the bar for skill in dota has been raised by such a large amount, and I think (unless dota dies completely within the year) other teams will be up to the challenge of emulating and even perhaps surpassing China's lead in skill and dedication. I'm glad ESWC happened though so I could see the different in a first-hand manner on an even playing field with teams from the rest of the world. ZSMJ's medusa farm...was against EHOME. I don't think 99.5% of dota players could farm as fast and as much as he did in SINGLE-player mode. that being said DTS looked nervous but who wouldn't be? The current state of dota reminds me of something I read during this years World Cup. Diego Maradona talks after his loss to Germany about the failing of soccer stars in this year's world cup. Players like Messi, Ronaldo, Rooney, Robinho, Kaka have failed to shine and play to their expectations, Maradona claims that it is because instead of a showy display of skill and ego, stars are blending in with their teammates trying to perfect their defense and create more opportunities for the good and strength of the team. I saw lots of parallels between this view and Dota's current focus on teamplay, defensive and counter-attacking strategies, and lack of stardom (such as the past Vigoss,Yamateh,Merlini,Kuroky,Loda etc). Perhaps we will see the stars coming out once again for personal, egotistical, glory.  |
