After months of speculation, the LA Renegades have officially announced Aleš “Freeze” Kn?žínek as their starting Attack Damage Carry for the 2016 season.

The Renegades are a team that have had quite a bit of hype built up around them. Originally created in early 2015 by eSports legend Christopher “MonteCristo” Mykles with several veteran League Championship Series players, RNG bursted onto the North American Challenger Series. The team went on to achieve 1st place in the NACS summer series, defeating Team Coast 3 - 2 to secure them an LCS position for 2016.

After the 2015 season ended, original ADC Ainslie “maplestreet8” Wylie left the team, leaving their bot lane half empty. For months fans speculated several players that could be trying out for the team. The wait has finally ended, as RNG announced on their website that former Copenhagen Wolves player, Freeze, will be transferring to NA to strengthen their ranks. A video intro follows.

Known as League’s first professional Czech player, Freeze is seen as quite the dominant ADC. He finished as rank 1 on the European West server for soloqueue in 2015, and helped his old team of Ninjas in Pyjamas to achieve 1st place in the EUCS spring split of 2014.

The NA LCS is quickly approaching with only 10 days left until the event unfolds. With one of EU’s best ADC’s in their lineup it will be interesting to see if Freeze can carry RNG to the top of NA’s ranks. Will this team of veterans be able to stack up to NA’s steep competition? Let us know what you think down below!
