Games Academy tourney featuring $8,000 prize fund

Esports event hosts the Games Academy will host an offline tournament that will see 25,000 BRL ($8,200 USD) in cash and hardware prizes given out to winners.

The Games Academy , being project-led by Brazilian KeydStars player Grabriel "FalleN" Toledo has created a tournament which will feature the largest prize pool a CS:GO tournament has ever experienced in the country of Brazil. This comes as the Brazilian e-sports scene has experienced substantial growth.

The GA tournament will see 16 teams compete, four who will earn their spot through a top placement in the highest division of the Gamers Academy Razer League, with the remaining twelve teams earning their spots through various online qualifier being held from May to July.

Once all qualifying stages have been are complete, the qualifying teams will compete in the cup finals on August 29-30, fighting for shares of the 15,000 BRL ($5,000 USD) prize pool as well as 10,000 BRL ($3,200 USD) in hardware prizes.
