The prize pool for The International has breached the $6,000,000 mark. Previously thought impossible by both gamers and Valve employees alike, this target has been reached with the strong support of the Dota 2 community. The base customization ability has been unlocked.
Reaching the target for $6,000,000, the base customization ability has been unlocked. Although no hints have been given so far as to what can be customised and how far it can be customised, people will be looking to Valve to keep their promises: all 13 of them. This reward will be available to ONLY COMPENDIUM OWNERS, with those without a compendium being left out.

Reddit user 'Peakal' offered a suggestion for the base customization, which has so far proved very popular. Valve has not currently opened the ability for users to suggest what this reward might entail, stating only that the reward is 'under construction and will be delivered to all compendium users soon'.
This brings up the question of 'what happens after the 6 Million Dollar mark?'. Additional stretch goal targets have not been released, with Dota 2 players having less incentive to purchase compendiums and/or compendium points. At the moment, only 5 of the 13 compendium rewards have been released:

The rest of the Compendium rewards are 'under construction' at the moment, with no idea as to how long or what the compendium rewards will include. In the meantime, both the American and South-East Asian qualifiers have run it's course and with this, the sale of compendium and compendium points have been shown to slacken slightly.
