Moonmeander ends competitive HoN career

The most popular streamer of Heroes of Newerth is returning back to his roots, while turning his back on HoN's competitive scene. Moonmeander announced today, that he is not only going to leave Too Much Sugar, but also the entire competitive circuit of HoN - to get back to streaming and have more time for studies.

It is one of his most popular moments on stream, Moonmeander winning against a 90% winning smurf and singing his own version of Nelly Furtado's "All Good Things Come To An End". Now this song becomes reality for his own career in HoN's competitive scene, as the beloved player turns his attention back to streaming and his real life. Yesterday the rumors about him quitting Too Much Sugar came up on the forums, today Moon himself announced his retirement on his Facebook fan page.

This ends a near 2-year long career that started as a stand-in for Trademark eSports for the NASL Season 2 offline finals and continued to be a successful story of a talented player and beloved streamer turned professional. The Canadian added four DreamHack appearances, a HoN Tour Grand Finals appearance and the Sound Blaster Heroes League championship to his resume - finishing DreamHack twice as the runner-up and HoN Tour on the third place. His professional homes were Trademark eSports, compLexity Gaming and Too Much Sugar, in which he played together with acclaimed and accomplished players like Tralfamadore, Bkid, Peterpandam, sLiCKz, Haxxeren and KheZu. Although he couldn't quite get to the major championship and a title in an offline event, he was always one of the main attraction at those events due to his popularity. Now he goes back to his large fan base and focuses on his streaming career, while also having more time for his personal life and education.

In the meantime Too Much Sugar is in rebuilding mode, losing the second player in two weeks. First they decided to part ways with KheZu to make room for a jungler, now their replacement for KheZu's suicide position calls it quits. The jungler position might be filled by iNsania, who played for the team in HoN Tour Diamond Cycle 8 on the first weekend  - still making it clear that it is a mere tryout. Nothing is confirmed for that position yet, just as nothing is confirmed for the vacant suicide position. The only thing that can be denied is the rumor that Tankafett is joining Team Excellent, as the captain of Team Excellent Pew spread on the forums. When asked about the situation, the "rookie" of tmsR pointed out that it is just a troll and he will stick to tmsR for now.
