According to Kim Phan, senior manager at Blizzard's eSports division, more details about next year's edition of WCS will be revealed after the BlizzCon finals.
Initially projected for the week before BlizzCon, the details surrounding WCS 2014 haven't been finalized yet. "I know we set a goal to share our plans for WCS 2014 before BlizzCon, but it’s going to take a little more time to nail down the last details before we can make an announcement," said Kim Phan. "We do plan to get into next year’s info immediately, so look out for more details about WCS 2014 shortly after the show," she continued.
Although praised for the high standard of production, WCS 2013 has faced significant criticism on virtually every other front, and it will be interesting to see how Blizzard plans to reform the system.
