The NA and Global qualifier finals for the Red Bull Battlegrounds NYC as well as the TLMC qualifier for the same event were played last night. As a result, three more players flow into the main event and the eight and last player remains to be found.
Тhe first to join the initial four was SKT's PartinG. The KeSPA Protoss ruled over the TLMC qualifier by trumping Jjakji, Alive, hero[join] and San along the way. PartinG was also the only player who won his spot directly through a qualifier and not through a qualifier final, having to play on community-created maps the whole night.
Canada's "Zerg queen" Scarlett prevailed over the NA qualifier final. Acer's Zerg ploughed through Complexity's qxc 3-0 and ROOT's Vibe 4-3 and secured herself a spot for the main event.
Another Zerg triumphed in the Global qualifier finals as well. In an all-Korean bracket, Quantic's HyuN stopped the run of WCG Korea Cinderella Sora 4-2, having defeated fellow Zerg player Symbol 3-0 in the previous round.
Those three players will join the initial wave of invites consisting of Snute, Golden, MC and Bomber. The eight and final player for the main event on November 23-24th will be decided by the fourth series of qualifiers, dates for this are still pending.
