WePlay Season Two group D begins, Na`Vi and Fnatic against the CIS hordes!

Group D of WePlay Season Two will begin tonight with RoX.KiS first facing off against SCARYFACEZZZ.Dota2 at 18:00 CEST followed by RoX.KiS taking on Poseidon at 20:00 CEST.

Group D may look clear on paper, with a similar slant as Group C had as one International 2013 finalist and one top eight finisher faces off against a number of tags which, while somewhat recognizable, hold far less import for the average fan. But as always seems to be the case the world of Western Dota 2, small mistakes can still cost you dearly and the lesser known names hide far more familiar faces, eager to punish any weakness shown by the frontrunners.

Na`Vi go into this weeks WePlay ordeal looking confident and strong, with all the swagger of kinds sat comfortably on top of their hill, looking down upon those who would look to unseat them and feeling secure in their place. And yet, the same was said about Alliance last week, only to see the recently crowned best team in the world come tumbling down at the hands of innovative compositions, and with some help from an unlikely challenger from Peru, Revenge.

Fnatic meanwhile should by all means be the runner up, but coming off of the recent holiday of Adrian 'Era' Kryeziu, the team showed some rust against Na`Vi yesterday in their EMS One encounter. While Fnatic seem to have some clear ideas bouncing around and are deviating from the norm slightly in their drafting since they've returned again to scrimming and playing, these tactics and their group play may leave enough cracks exposed for someone to exploit them, causing a possible upset.

And then there are the Russian challengers, with RoX.KiS slowly growing comfortable to their latest additions of Vadim 'Sedoy' Musorin and Igor 'Nexus' Lisakovskiy and with Poseidon trying to re-ignite the fire in players such as Oleg 'Crazy' Kolesnichenko and Ilya 'Illidan' Pivtsaev, these Russians have all the makings of an underdog upset story, with no lack of aggression and their own, signature takes on how to play the game, the two teams ahead of them have to be on their toes so as not to be taken unawares.
