TurS wins G-League regular season, ImpF demoted

?
The G-League in SEA HoN Tour is coming onto the home stretch with just one round left on the calendar. After 14 games, Turtle Master is the first ever SEA HoN Tour regular season champ, ORGE, Neo.MRR and Brix are in the playoffs and ImpF, Guilty Crown and Who we are will get demoted to D1.

Going into today the playoff race was pretty determined already with Turtle Master on top, Orange eSports behind and Neolution eSports.MRR and Brix only with mathematical chances of falling off the third and fourth place in the remaining matches. Today now this tiny mathematical chance has been erased with all the four top teams winning their matches and therefore clinching their spot in the postseason for good.

Turtle Master not only clinched the playoff berth, but also the overall #1 seed for the postseason, which gives them an automatic ticket straight to the Grand Finals of the first G-League cycle in a combined SEA HoN Tour. The order of the other three slots is not yet determined, but Orange eSports has a comfortable lead over Neolution eSports.MRR and Brix, who are tied for the third place.

Much more exciting than the playoff race is the battle against demotion at the bottom of the standings with three teams still tied at the dreaded last demotion spot - the unfortunate #13. Gspeed AVI, The Star Box Band and 2nd Runner Up all have a grand total of 11 points and need at least a tie in the last match to feel safer against the jeopardy of getting demoted to D1.

The edge in this battle is with Gspeed AVI, who have the easiest match ahead of them. The Thai team that started the G-League cycle with a victory over The Star Boy Band only has the last place team of Who We Are left on the schedule. The SEA team of Who We Are only has four points so far and not yet won a single series. The other two teams in flux have absolute top teams left to play with 2nd Runner Up facing Turtle Master and The Star Boy Band going up against Brix. In the end one of those teams will end up falling to D1 and two will barely retain their status as one of the 16 elite teams of the entire SEA region.

Out of G-League already are iMpunity.Fire with their captain Emperor and the two SEA squads of Guilty Crown and Who We Are. All three teams have failed to record double digits in the point column so far and will spend the next cycle in the second division of SEA HoN Tour.

The other six teams can neither get promoted nor get demoted on the last place and just play for the best final standing, bragging rights and for the sake of competing. Matchups like iMpunity.Storm against iMpunity.Fire or Open House Party against FunFunPlace are just there for the fans of the respective teams and to build up storylines and stats for the next cycle of G-League competition. For the newer rosters like the iMpunity teams this is also another set of welcome practice, as they are still in the building process for their projects.
