Absolute Legends winning AlienwareArena NA

The condemned live longer! Absolute Legends has not received an invite to the HoN Invitational, has not been directly seeded into the Diamond Division of the second HoN Tour season and they have not attended several Ultimate Series tournaments - but now they are reigning surpreme over their regional rivals with winning the AlienwareArena North America.

 

Absolute Legends might have been fairly inactive and might not even be a registered team in the current HoN Tour Season 2 Qualifiers, but they sure still can play and win against the best opponents from their region. Yesterday the team around fan favorite Kookiez secured their first Championship title for the aL organization by blanking We Are Spies in the Grand Finals of the AlienwareArena North American tournament. 

 

This does not only mean that the Legends are back among the best teams, but it also gives Miesty a great last tournament experience before ending his competitive HoN career. Before the tournament was concluded the beloved player of the team announced on the forums, that he is going to call it quits after the AlienwareArena event - due to the fact that his job gets more demanding and he can't balance that job, while staying in a good enough shape to be a real competitor in HoN. Now he can leave with a Championship - something that a lot of athletes both in eSports and real sports dream about.

 

For aL this is only the beginning tho, as they looking stronger than ever against every competition in the tournament, and now HoN Tour is on the horizon for the team. Unfortunately they might have to play themselves through every single division in order to get back into the Diamond Division, but in their current form that should not really be an issue. 

 

Not only aL has shown their potential in this cup though, but also We Are Spies and a team called Ultimate Legends with former aL players like Kreamz and nQQdle have made a splash in the tournament and can look back at a successful event in their own right. We Are Spies and Ultimate Legends are actually still fighting in the HoN Tour Qualifier for the second season of the massive event - fighting for a direct spot in the Diamond Division. The Spies around DirtyMobs and Rookie` are facing off against "Random" in the fifth round of the Qualifier, while the team with nQQdle, ggslayer and Kreamz called "nice prizepool" will face off against Reason Gaming to keep their chances of the Diamond Division alive.
