?The ex-head of the Russian powerhouse team has been charged of stealing hundreds of millions of credit and debit card over seven years.
In what is considered the "largest hacking and data breach scheme ever prosecuted in the United States," U.S. authorities have confirmed the involvement of Dmitry "ddd1ms" Smilianets in it. Arrested by the Federal Bureau of Investigation's cyber crimes unit, Smilianets, along for three other Russians and one Ukrainian, ran a highly-complex hacking organization which penetrated major American and other international corporations' networks, stealing and selling at least 160 million credit and debit card numbers. His role was to be the information salesman.
