Bigpoint Battle June begins

Eight teams battled their way through a qualifiers' pool of 324 to join eight other invited teams in the playoffs for the fifth edition of Big Point Battle.

After two days and six rounds of qualifiers, GT-Multi, flip.sid3, Typical Mistakes, CD, NBCD, OSG, paiN.int, and standin have managed to secure themselves a spot in the Big Point Battle #5 Playoffs.

This will be the third time flip.sid3 managed to make it to the playoffs, with their previous appearances coming at the February and March installments of the tournament when they were still known as Absolute Legends. As for the other seven qualified teams, Big Point Battle #5 marks their first ever playoff appearance.

They will join ICCup, Kaipi, Team Empire, Fnatic.EU, Next.Kz, eL'Pride, Artyk Gaming and RoX.KIS in a best-of-one format all the way up till the best-of-three grand final.

Hosted by joinDOTA.com, Big Point Battle provides a great opportunity every month to up-and-coming teams as it accomodates a large number of teams in the qualifiers, giving them a chance to fight through the brackets and compete against top-tiered teams in the Western scene. Starting this past February, the tournament has consistently organized an installment every month. Previous champions include Team Liquid, Natus Vincere, rox.Kis, and Mousesports.

The teams will compete for €2000 in prize money.
