epic.LAN is a UK organization, which has over 7 years of experience in hosting LAN events. Until now their main focus were FPS titles like Call of Duty, Counter-Strike and Team Fortress 2. But for their next event, epic.TEN, they have decided to try something new, adding a MOBA based game for the first time. This will also be the first Dota 2 LAN event in UK.
Statement by John Winkle, managing director of epic.LAN:
"This may be seen as a bit of a risk for us going for the first UK Dota 2 LAN tournament, but with such positive interest from a community that wants to see their game supported, we couldn’t miss out on the chance to work with them. We know the game is still evolving, but we like the direction that the game is going in and look forward to a great competition at Kettering in February."
