Captain Planet triumphs over World Elite

The showmatch between United States Captain Planet and China World Elite has ended, and it was the North Americans that outclassed the Chinese for $800.

The first match picks were rather ironic, as despite fans hoping for YaphetS to pick Shadow Fiend, it was in fact Power.Net that took the demonic hero to play. A mistake from YaphetS saw his Earthshaker getting first blooded as he went to ward with Mirana. Throughout the game, WE was unable to play with the same flair and teamwork that Captain Planet did. Although SF was picked off at mid, the roam ganks by WE was not successful to contain him. It is worth mentioning that Demise's SK was involved in almost every kill, as his positioning was perfect.

After establishing an early game lead, Captain Planet gathered and pushed as their huge AOE capabilities could not be stopped. The game was over after a team wipe and raxes went down for WE. Despite much anticipation, YaphetS never really performed well and a lack of practice in Dota 2 was showing; WE needed much work on their teamwork as well.

Sand King was involved with almost every single kill, proving to be highly effective in winning the first game for Captain Planet

In the second match, Captain Planet went for an instant Anti-Mage pick as well as heroes that demonstrated their gameplan of protecting Power.Net's AM with four other heroes. WE on the other hand picks Outworld Destroyer, a hero that is deemed to counter AM. An early game mistake by YaphetS saw his Earthshaker doing more harm than good when his fissure attempt to save PCT's OD blocks him and ensures his certain death. It looked as though Captain Planet may be steamrolling the second game again, however that is not the case. Perfect fissures from a redeemed YaphetS saw WE killing off Vengeful Spirit and Beastmaster, who had missed his axes horribly which would have killed off OD.

As night approached, it was domination time for AABF's Night Stalker. With the advantage and going on the agressive, they received the best boost to push when PCT's OD getting his Mekansm in 10 minutes. In a teamfight at middle we see Lich's ultimate having sixth sense as it bounces in the weirdest way to kill off poor innocent Beastmaster. AM does get his battlefury 20 minutes in the game, and it was looking as though WE will be able to wrap things up soon.

With AM getting stronger, WE decides to go for roshan. Captain Planet decides to disrupt their attempt just as WE finishes. The fight saw WE losing none of their players and killing 4 of Captain Planet's players except AM.

Despite getting a huge advantage, it began to seem as though Captain Planet will come back to the game eventually due to the insane farm by AM. After some prolonged stalemate, the game changer came when WE was surprisingly slow in reaction as Captain Planet took top rax with no contention. A subsequent teamfight saw Power.Net picking off OD right away with use of his Abyssal Blade. Despite a triple kill from YYJ's Mirana, AM kills him off too and proceeds to take middle rax and bottom tower. Soon enough, WE calls GG and Captain Planet wins the showmatch.

Anti-Mage's end score was 12/1/4, with 505 creep kills and 766 GPM. Simply, unstoppable.

Both teams were kind enough to play a third match to satisfy the fans, and this match was more fun for Captain Planet than WE. Sneaky picks by Captain Planet were able to hide their their attempt for roshan perfectly, and they proceeded to take aegis uncontested with their level 1 auras. The match was much more relaxed, with KoReYa-'s Windrunner going for Lothar's, and going on a unstoppable streak. WE was unable to stop the pushes, and despite Weaver getting a rampage in the end all of their raxes were down and Captain Planet went on to clinch all three games.

Level 1 auras from heroes gets Captain Planet zero minute aegis.
