Day 2 draws to a close at Partouche Poker Tour Main Event

Late in the combined Day 2, there are 129 players remaining out of the 322 who started the day in the €8.500 buy-in Partouche Poker Tour main event in Cannes, France. The average chip stack is around 135k with the leaders above 400k including a group led by Jean-Noël Thorel, Willy Korchia, Arnaud Mattern, Jean-Philippe Rohr, Remi Marlair and Paul Pires-Trigo.

Although the numbers were down from the 764 that played last year, a total of 579 players entered the Partouche main event creating a prizepool of over €4.3 million with the winner taking home €1,000,000.

A total of 63 players will make the money that begins with payouts of €12,000.

At the start of Day 2, there were a total of 322 players remaining with Italian Giuseppe Pantaleo holding the chip lead with 265k.

In the late hours of Day 2, a number of the big names have bust out including Jason Mercier, Arnaud Mattern, Wiliam Thorson, Chino Rheem, Vanessa Selbst, Antonio Esfandiari, Dan Cates, Alex Kravchenko, and Antony Lellouche.

Notable bustouts on Day 1 included Phil Hellmuth, Phil Laak, Sami Kelopuro, Jake Cody, Roberto Romanello and Michael Mizrachi.

The push to reach the money will begin on Day 3 at noon Thursday.
