WC3L: Wrong map identifies PGS vs Mouz

Tonight's match in the WC3L between mousesports and PGS Gaming took a idiosyncratic turn with an important disconnect and a match played on a wrong map.

Before the game it was clear who the favorite was in this match. Mousesports obtained 89% of the votes in the GosuBets while PGS got only a slender 11%. But PGS already showed to possess lots of talent, could they suprise Mouz, like they did last year in the wc3l?

LiilD^C and Happy bear the brunton at Secret Valley. The Russian came out on top winning the first map after destroying both expansions of Liild^c, however after a strong comeback of the Swede, the score ended 2:1 in favour of the PGS player. All three matches are enjoyable to watch because they show a great series of matches between Nightelf and Undead.

After PGS took the lead it was Fly100% who rectified the score with a solid 2:0 victory on the German Orc player Eric.

In the Match between ToD and FuRy, it was the Frenchman who showed why he is one of the best players in the world. Despite a panda level 5, the Swede got outmicroed in the last fight and with a Paladin and a Mountain King the Human took the first map. Also, in the second map ToD showed his true level with some perfects surround of FuRy’s fiends early in the game, creating an advantage which he built in for a victory.

Then it was the turn of the Croation Zeus to take on SEC 2007 silver medalist SaSe. In the first game, it went up equally. After an early fight, SaSe lost almost all of his huntresses. With mass bears accompanied with dryads it was the former Four Kings player who used his early game advantage and took the game on Terenas Stand.

Second Game was planned to be on Twisted Meadows and in the mean time the PGS 2on2 couple also won their first match. Making both matches 1:0 in maps with a total score of 1:2 in favor of Mousesports. Meaning that if both PGS players would win their next match, the clan war victory would go to the polish organization.

Despite the advantage of Zeus with a larger population it was the waiting style of the Croation that enabled SaSe to get back in the game. Eventually a bass of Druid of the Claw fight decided the match after 30 minutes in favour of the Swede.

The third game took a surprising turn when Zeus was about to get a second hero and the Naga was not available at the tavern. It turned out that the host picked the wrong version of the map Gnoll Wood. Instead of the normal TFT version the game was hosted with the Gnoll Wood ROC version, which diverse a lot from the TFT version, including the absence of the naga hero.

While Zeus in the beginning of the game friendly appointed this was the wrong map and asked if a re-game was required, SaSe ignored the call and just played on. A couple of minutes later, the Demon Hunter of Zeus killed SaSe’s Priestess of the Moon, making it a clear advantage for Zeus. After which, SaSe claims to want a re-game as result of the wrong map.

The admin decided in favour of the swedish player and a re-match was to be played. In a brave effort to get revenge for the first game it was obvious that the angriness from the first game took away Zeus' concentration. On the right version of Gnoll Wood it became a short game, dominated by the Swedish Nightelf.

PGS took the upper hand in the first map of the 2on2
In the first 2on2 match on Turtle Rock, it was mainly the loads of dryads from LiilD^C that demolished the base of Fly. Despite the benefit from Happy to recover, the game was already decided and the PGS couple took the first map. However the Fly100% & Happy combo showed their true colors and came back in the following 2 games, winning both and sealing the Total score 4 for Mousesports, 1 for PGS Gaming.

In the final deciding match of the 2on2 the action went back and forth. Also this match had a startling outcome with Eric getting disconnected. LiiL^C got saddled with the mission impossible, a 1on2 versus the mouz couple. The nightelf had no chance and could do nothing but calling GG.

Update: SaSe about the match situation

"First game zeus wrote "gl saseyyy" or something. I don't really wanna read anything else than gg gl hf in start, so I made sure to ignore him all games. That's why I couldn't see that he said it was wrong map. He didn't even pause to tell me or something, really had no clue until I saw the creeps at the shop when I sold tp. Then I paused the game and started to talk about this. After some disscussion I was ready to go on. If you check the replay the last thing I say is "ok", then the game discs. I just wanted to say "ok" "lets finish the game and if admin says we can't play on this map lets give each other defwin"" - mouz.SaSe
