WGTour League was up for a short beta season a while ago, but gone since then. Now it's back and the WGTour Ladder will be hosting another season, starting Friday!
After the new server was finally put in place, the WGTour site has been up and running but still missing what had been promised for quite a while now, the ladder. But tonight, finally, WGTour announced that the launch of the 14th season of their ladder will happen as soon as this upcoming Friday, 30th November.
Bug fixes and new features
The administrators have been testing it and a few changes have been made since the beta season of the WGTour League, such as bug fixes and some newly added features for the players. One of those new features is that you can now log on to the WGTour League with you ladder nickname and password.
They also removed the starting rank and the winning streak features, and added matchup and map statistics together with the race distribution for each player. Another interesting new feature is that WGTour, together with the TeamLiquid Progaming Database, will make it possible to compare map stats of foreigners versus the progamers.
