As probably most of you know Blizzard recently released their expansion for World of Warcraft: The Burning Crusade. Rumors tells us, however, there's going to be another one.
There is no official statements about this, but just a confirmation from a Blizzard representative that it's true, and that they carrying on their attempt to release one World of Warcraft expansion every year. The homepage behind the rumor is Blizzplanet.com, which made a short interview with the Blizzard Representatives:
Nela: Do you guys (Blizzard Ent.) have any preliminary plans for the expansion after The Burning Crusade?
Nethaera (Blizzard): Yes, we are working on plans. No, I can't tell you what they are, how far they are or what timeline we are looking at. Sorry.
Nela (Fan): In some of the developer interviews it was mentioned that Blizzard was thinking of releasing expansion quality content on an annual basis after TBC.
Nethaera (Blizzard): As far as I'm aware that is still a goal. Keep in mind that there is a level of quality we want to maintain with each release as well so timelines are subject to a bit of flex
Further speculations
Blizzplanet is also pointing out four different possible names of the expansion. The Emerald Dream, Northrend, Seven New Worlds and The South Seas is the names pointed out for different reasons, mostly based on things Blizzard representatives have said at any time through the games' history.
