A tournament that has been going on for quite some time is SarenS Nostalgic tournament. Several high class players of today and some stars that are not as active as they once were got invited to duke it out in a tour where only one eventually would stand as the winner.

Clawson, 
TreK, 
XiaoZi... The list goes on. What do they all have in common then, you may ask? Well, except for the fact that five of them are in or have been in Templars of Twilight, they were all participating in SarenS Nostalgic Tournament, an event with some old stars as well as top players in today’s scene.

Twisted and Ovvi could all be seen taking part in the tournament, and out of them the Finnish Protoss player was able to do very well, beating players such as TreK, 
BunDy, Hullah, Mondragon and TuZeR before losing to Swedish KaaZ in the loser bracket semi final.However, the player proving to be the best one at the end is of Chinese origin, living in Canada – XiaoZi! The Zerg player won a final against KaaZ with a 4-1 result, after being 1-0 up for coming from winner bracket. After his win, GosuGamers made sure to catch the powerful Zerg for a few questions.

When asked about his expectations before the tournament, XiaoZi explains he did not think that he would be able to go all the way. “There were many good players”, he says. “He’s a Zerg user but he plays TvZ, and my ZvT is my best matchup I think. So it was not too hard for me”, XiaoZi says. The toughest opponent was Testie though. “Those old maps are pretty fun to play but not very balanced”, he says about the maps used. “Most of them are Terran favoured”.
