Multiple Entry Tournaments Off To Fast Start

The first indications of the popularity and impact of Full Tilt Poker's new Multi-Entry Tournaments are it seems to be a big hit. The combination of "Double Guarantees Week" and the Multi-Entry Tournaments led to a massive Monday $1k tournament.

With the added incentive of having double guaranteed prize pools, and the incentive of trying out the Multi-Entry system, the Monday $1k went from a $300 guarantee to a $1,454,000 prize pool with 1,454 entries, many of those buying in for the maximum four entries.

Full Tilt red pros, like Allen Cunningham, Andy Block, and John Racener bought four entries, with most players buying in for at least three. The additional buy-ins led to Full Tilt collecting 4.5 times their normal amount in fees, over $87k.

The tournament paid the top 162 finishers. Taking the massive first prize of $312,610 was none other than hot online and live pro Shaun "tedsfishfry" Deeb. He defeated a tough final table lineup that included several respected pros.
