Tricket Leads $100k buy-in Aussie Millions Final Table

British high stakes poker pro Sam Trickett leads the $100k buy-in Aussie Millions tournament final table with 961k. The super high buy-in event drew the exact number of 38 entries that the PCA $100k Super High Roller even had a couple weeks ago, another sign that the high stakes world is quite healthy.

Sam Tricket dominated from the start, busting the first player only 20 minutes into the tournament when he check raised top two pair against a player that went with flush and straight draw. Erik Seidel made the final table of the PCA $25k High Roller event, so he appears to be playing very well of late.

Notable players hitting busting out yesterday included Phil Ivey, Tom Dwan, John Juanda, Patrik Antonius, Erick Lindgren, Howard Lederer, Dan "jungleman12" Cates, Tony G., Justin Smith, Joe Hachem, Andrew Feldman, David Oppenheim, Alexander Kostritsyn, and James Bord.

Final table:

1. Sam Trickett 961,000
2. David Steicke 622,000
3. Erik Seidel 619,000
4. James “Andy McLEOD” Obst 571,000
5. Jeffrey Lisandro 454,000
6. David Benyamine 363,000
7. Tony Bloom 148,000
8. Chris Ferguson 89,000

The 38 players made a prize pool of AUD$3,800,000.

Although eight made the final table, only the top six finishers will get paid:

1. AUD $1,525,000
2. AUD $ 975,000
3. AUD $ 625,000
4. AUD $ 325,000
5. AUD $ 200,000
6. AUD $ 150,000

The final table will resume play at 2 pm EST on Saturday.
