Virus puts out the feelers

BLAST becomes part of the club, after the disbandment of the faded Virus clan, formerly known as Tribal.fr. The French gaming organisation has capital to put into DotA and wants to send the new team to ESWC.

Starting out as an assembly for CS 1.6 and WoW back in 2005, Virus crossed new boarders year by year, picking up various sections and supporting teams. The biggest steps were made in 2010 containing the addition of DotA, along with a sponsorship agreement from RedBull. The destined team back then, was ESWC attender Tribal.fr, which later appeared in various online leagues such as RGC, ICS and Argh.

Things have gone quiet around the main address for french DotA however, resulting in the teams disbandment, solely announced at their IRC channel earlier this week. Virus being left behind, yet not willing to soft-padel, grasped the rising Squad from BLAST and bid them welcome into the family.

Following the footsteps, was ex-Virus player Phoenix, who became part of the new roster. The team currently shows its potential, competing in Pick League Division 1, Intel Challenge and ROCCAT GosuCup with the best of Europe. Providing a healthy environment for the players can now be scratched off the to-do list as well.

The future of the former Virus members is uncertain, but retirements are not be expected.
