G-League Season VIII groups and map pool brought to light

G-League organisation has just revealed the group drawings for its next season. All in all, the asian league will feature 18 contestants: 12 Chinese and 6 Koreans, divided into 3 groups.

In Group A, we can notice the lone Undead player of the competition Zhuo 'TeD' Zeng as well as the Human star 'InFi' and the orcish 'LiKe'.

Group B promises to hold a tougher rivalry as the reigning champion Xiaofeng 'Sky' Li will brave orc sensation 'Fly100%' among other figures such as 'SuhO' and 'Sai', should the latter spread his wings as he did in the last Race War tournament.

Despite the absence of the Night Elf prodigy 'Moon' among the Koreans, Group C heralds a heated combat since a bunch of Korean stars such as 'Lyn', 'ReMinD', 'Check' and 'FoCuS' will fight by the rule book to get the qualification spots.

Regarding the map pool, one major shake-up can be noticed: fountain maps (Gnoll Wood, Secret Valley) have been removed as well as Echo Isles map.

The event will kick off on September, the 24th. Two players from each group will qualify to the offline finals which will be held in Shangai, China. The replays will be released a few days after the games; meanwhile, SinaTV and PPLive will provide you with a livestream.
