China Wins WCG Asia!
After a very intense couple of days, the representatives from the People's Republic of China (no doubt inspired with the Olympic Spirit) defeated suprise newcomers New Zealand in the final to become the 2008 WCG Asia DotA champions.
There were many upsets along the way, as New Zealand (who many predicted wouldn't even make it out of their group stage) beat top team KingSurf in the Semi Finals (look out for future posts about this up-and-coming team!). Australia's The Firm also put in a very good effort, making it out of a tough group that included Indonesia's Executioners and the Philippines' Mineski.

The games were broadcast live on GarenaTV, and they can still be viewed there. WCG said the replays would be released in a few days so they shouldn't be far off.
