The StarCraft, WarCraft 3 and DotA tournaments at DreamHack Summer 2008 has 11,000 SEK more in prize money compared to last winter.
GosuGamers can, as the official tournament partners for DreamHack, be the first to announce the prize money for StarCraft, WarCraft 3 and DotA.
StarCraft remains at the same prize money level as last year, 20,000 SEK. The WarCraft 3 and DotA tournaments on the other hand, have received a slight buff. The WarCraft 3 tournament is up at 33,000 SEK, and DotA 43,000 SEK. All in all, the prize money for the three Blizzard games have been increased with 11,000 SEK.
DreamHack Summer 2008 caps off on 14th of June and lasts until 17th of June.
Apart from these three tournaments the Swedish ESWC qualifier for WarCraft 3 will be held which is also held by GosuGamers.
More information on the maps and time schedule will be revealed soon.

I might be wrong, but unless the Swedish Krone
increased its value by a margin, the prizes for
DotA has decreased. Not the opposite.
As far as I recall it was 30.000SEK last summer and 35.000SEK this winter.
Either way I am confident it was at least 30.000SEK both times. For 1st place that is. I wouldnt know about the next spots.

WC3 is higher because only foreigners will be
playing in the SC tournament, and the foreign
community is huge, but not as big as WC3. (SCII
will change this however).
the amount of participants for the tourneys are
something like 30 for sc, 60 for wc3 and 300-400
for dota. So well, it's not that hard to figure
out why the prizes are like they are. If anything
Dota has way to little.
I regret i'm not from Sweeden or nearby to go at
least once there :(
