Interview with n! mad.

n! won against T_T this week in TGL. GosuGamers made an interview with their manager mad while this win was just the start, they will attack the world in 2008.

In the interview mad spoke about their changes with moving from WE] to n!, a professional, sponsoring clan. He also told us that their bad shape were caused by some pauses they did at the wrong time, but they will prepare themselves for next year, so that they can attack the DotA world in 2008. Stay tuned for these guys. They will definitely grow stronger and we will see a lot of them in future.

Hey mad, thanks for taking time for this interview. First of all please introduce yourself.
- Okay, my real name is Martin Löffler and I come from Freiburg. I’m not playing for a very long time now but I know the community,I play since version 6.00. The time before DotA I did some small organisation jobs at some German eSports Projects.

n! is one of only a few "professional" DotA teams. What aims do you have for future and what do you think about your sponsoring? Where do you see your team in future.
- Our first goal is to stay in the high quality leagues and be competive there. We want to participate in all bigger tournaments and do our best there.
The support is important for us, faculty is going to sponsor a boot-camp in Bochum for us this summer which should improve our teamplay.
In the future we see us at Germany's top and in very good shape to do some good jobs international.

How did the whole we] thing get started up, whose idea was it to play DotA "professionally"?
- World Eaters (WE]) started as a couple of friends. They were starting with crazy Austrian, Slovak and Czech players but soon they found out that they would have more fun in teamspeak with only German players plus they felt that they could achieve even more.
There had been several fusions with other German clans which made the team stronger and stronger. From the real WE core there are only pacMAN and BuGGy left.
One day i heard about this team, some funny guys who also know how to play dota so i tried to empower them with my skills as manager ( they always say that I suck at dota :P ).
I was able to connect the team with n!, the last step for a professional dota team.

You were one of the best teams, the time you played under the name "World Eaters". Why do you think your performance broke down? What else changed while moving from WE to n!?
- After we moved to n! we had to reorganise our team plus we had some intern problems like inactivity of players. Now we have 6 active players which are very motivated and playing as many funwars as possible.
Our alteration to n! did not change that much for us, they will support us with future lan events and a very nice homepage. So our change has nothing to do with our bad results in the last few weeks.

What was up with meetya? Why did he leave, or did he get kicked?
- Due to some misunderstandings with meetya we decided to kick him from our team. We had the feeling that he would not fit in the team anymore but we wish him the best of luck for his future dota career.

How do you think DotA will develop in the eSports scene?
- I think dota will be more and more supported and sponsored in the near future, for example by wcg, escw and cpl, which are very significant events in the e-sports scene. In addition
we have more and more smaller leagues and tournaments, like dota masters etc. respect to those admins providing their free time to support dota!

Are there any German players you would like to see in your roster?
- We are very satisfied with our roster at the moment but maybe we want to add another player in the future.

Why did you get u_nited back into the n! roster?
- Due to the fact that we were only 5 players left we needed another one and united seemed to fit perfect into our team. We know him for a long time now, he is a nice guy who knows how to play dota.

n! always seemed to be more like a bunch of friends than a DotA squad, how - did you manage to have such a good climate inside the clan?
The guys are doing this on their own, there is always someone who can tell a funny story or make a good joke.And the team is laughing a lot even if they suck. For sure there are some quarrels but the team can easily overcome them.

What is your favourite hero in DotA?
- My favourite Hero? Mmmh …. Lina Inverse!!!
