Four teams played over the weekend at the E-Sports Champions League offline finals but only one triumphed above the rest. iG.Y defeated compatriots iG.Z in the grand finals to take home 20,000 RMB ($3,100) and the title of ECL season 2 champions.
Thai team MitH.Trust had to settle for a third after their defeat to iG.Z (dubbed "Zhou's revenge" after his team's loss to Trust in the winner's bracket semi-finals) yet all teams will walk away with a cash prize in this four-team tournament.
Coming from the winner's brackets, iG.Y held a one game advantage as they entered the best of three grand finals where they met iG.Z. The latter certainly did not disappoint by taking game one early and dragging the grand finals into a third decider game. However, it was iG.Y who ultimately triumphed.
