With the World DotA Championships beginning in less than a month, plus with the tournament holding a female DotA side-event, news of iG and Tongfu's recent acquisition came at the perfect time.
An earlier observation by PMS's pinksheep that female gaming has been picking up could not have been more acute. Shortly after setting up two competitive DotA teams, iG has decided to pick up AMM as its first female team. On Tongfu's side, it was only weeks ago when they formed their DotA division (see here) and they have just responded with their own female team as well.
In the coming weeks, the organizations may decide to promote their new rosters by hosting internal showmatches. This, however, is just speculation but it will certainly be a delight seeing more female DotA teams in action in the future.
