It has been a brutal month of competition for participants of the Hao Fang Golden League, and the top eight have emerged from their respective groups to begin their playoff matches. Eight teams will now be playing for the grand prize of 30,000 RMB ($4,700).
Unfortunately, due to a string of unfortunate events - MYM replaced by M5 (here), M5's subsequent disqualification (here) and later Na'Vi's forfeit (here), eight Chinese teams have proceeded to the playoffs with SB and MUFC successfully eliminated.
DK have already sent Nirvana.cn packing to the Loser's Bracket, and tonight's match will be between iG.Z and EHOME at 14:30 CET. Subsequent round 1 matches include iG.Y and TyLoo on the 15th and WE and LGD on the 19th of October. The brackets are as such:
The winner of each best of three match will take home 2,000 RMB ($310) with the loser winning 1,000 RMB ($150). The eventual champions will win 30,000 RMB ($4,700) and the first runner's up with 10,000 RMB ($1,600).
