WCG DotA finals in Shanghai to be held from the 5th to the 7th

It's the last three days of WCG China, ending a long journey for all who made it this far. Throughout a time span of several months, every of the final nine DotA teams placed first in either a provincial LAN-qualifier, or another WCG-related event and will fight for the largest chunk of converted $5.400 prize money.

The event starts with a best-of-one groupstage, followed by single eliminiation playoffs in best-of-three format between the best two of each group. Only a limited part of the games will be broadcasted, as additional room in the schedule had to be cleared for the Warcraft 3, Starcraft 2 and Counter-Strike 1.6 tournaments, which take place at the same time. Both semi finals which are to be held on the 6th of August and the grand final on the 7th are included however.

Due to the departure of several LGD core-players, it is by now unknown which or if any other team at all will follow in their footsteps. Opening the event will be WCG side event winner invictus Gaming, who will face the champions of Wuhan OK.Nirvana.cn. Beijing representative EHOME meets NL in round one, whereas Shanghai's Tyloo can be seen later against DK.
