ASUS Spring 2011:<br> Na`Vi pushes down the competition

After two third places in the last ASUS tournaments, it was about time that the Ukrainians would lift the desired trophy on their home ground in Kiev. Alongside the first major title in the history of the team, Na`Vi Dota will cash-in converted $2.500 prize money.

The Dota tournament of ASUS Spring will make history as the one, with the most comprehensive broadcasting services. Both WaaaghTV streams, as well as live shows came in numbers yesterday and let the audience choose which game to follow. It can further be argued, that the ASUS events are no longer limited to Eastern European communities, given the massive efforts of the administration, as well as the attendance from the French eSport club Virus and one of the most modern LAN centers as venue.

An offical English stream at the forthcoming summer event, which was not provided yesterday, may be an overhasty assumption, although the fact that it is getting considered, proves the rise of expectations towards the ASUS tournaments after today.

All favoured teams, performed convincingly strong and left no chance for underdogs to surprise, as the final ranking shows.

1st Place - 70.000 Rubel: Ukraine Na`Vi
2nd Place - 45.000 Rubel: Russia M5
3rd Place - 25.000 Rubel: Russia TR
4th place - 10.000 Rubel: France Virus

Na`Vi versus M5 marked the expected clash of epic dimensions in the grand final, which the Ukrainians won, due to their aggressive playstyle, forcing fights and obtaining an early advantage in tower gold. TR and Virus convinced with good performances as well and deserved the places three and four.
