Relive one of the most epic matches in DotA history with some nice commentary to boot. This game is between the old school MYM vs the Russian powerhouse Virtus.Pro.Credits to InvalidCola for the cast.

| Hilarious how Invalidcola calls Roshan, 'The Russian'. And I have always thought Vigoss was pronounced as 'VeeGoss' rather then 'VyeGas' Anyone care to correct? |
| #55 Your pronunciation is right. There was once even a "Vigoss jeans for women" commercial and they pronounced it "Vee-goss". I don't how people got the idea it might be "Vy - gohs". That's weird. "mim" also. |

yes i stayed up to watch this one at 4 in the morning.  brings back so many memories the passion the energy and the entire mood for dota was absolutely electrifying. really wish mym starts their series of prime nations and pride but alas gone is vp vigoss and the golden age time flies.............. |

Nice idea, but tobiwan missed all really important kills. Part 4 Minute 3 the kill by vigoss i.e. There are for more.. shaaaaame. I guess there is a list with all important things and he should have used one.

| # 77 that's Soth, he was the main admin of the MYM pride tournaments (kind of an asshole if you ask me, had a couple of problems with the way he admin abused those tourneys). Anyway, what's the standard to call dota "a better game" nowadays ? For me, a game is at it's prime, when it's the most fun to play. And that was back then... Dota nowadays is not a lot of fun, actually it's quite boring to watch, every competitive game is a farm fest. And it's also not that fun to play. I don't believe anyone that says he has fun playing dusa nowadays, it's just not possible. So, for me, dota was a better game back then, and I enjoyed it so much more. |

| honestly this video just seems like amatures compared to today's top players, too much mistakes and random stuff, leave it to the past and stop digging it up, any top pro player nowadays playing like this is going to be kicked from their teams. Before fanboys claim its more fun to watch and all that crap, in cs its more fun to watch a guy knifing the entire enemy team, in sports its more fun to watch somebody hattrick and pull off impressive moves all the time. The general skill level for top players are just too high to allow those things to happen in competitive plays. Games are supposed to evolve, players are supposed to get better, you are actually whining players are getting too good? Its like saying god damn it that guy blocked my dunk, he sooooo ruined basketball, the golden age where everybody can dunk as long as they can jump that high is sooooo much better. By the logic where 'pulling off moves because the other players suck too much' is the game's golden age, people should stop watching football, basketball, hockey, or any games that existed for longer than a year, because the so called 'golden age' is long over. |

| Nostlagia. But this match doesn't make justice to MYM. Could've picked some more balanced game, like that one of PriDe finals that MYM made a huge comeback - the one just before that game with the almost sucessful (fail thanks do NS and Admiration) push strategy. |

| I hope you guys do understand that some things you say are a big slap to today's DotA players. Right in the face. You are basically telling this guys that all their time training and perfecting the aspects of this complicated game was for nothing? Golden age? More like blink in wait for 2 seconds then cast your stun/nuke boom kill! 3 men gank but you have your trusted blink boom you escaped! Do you even realize how easy it was back then?? I think not. For a people who only look at the scoreboard and are fascinated by 3 stuns one after another I guess thats the very top. Now I love vigoss and MYM but I saw some serious bullshit comments. Freaking 72 minute is gank fest while even though most games nowadays are around 30 minutes and depend more on control and surgical strikes its labeled as farm fest? How freaking ignorant can you honestly be? Its like putting the line and saying: there the old dagger is obviously not coming back so the best dota was played by these teams and no matter how hard you train you can never achieve their glory. Live in the past people. Live in the past and dont come back to comment how boring today's games are. Leave this to the people who actually enjoy what this game is becoming - a complicated exercise instead of just "pick a stun hero, get blink and go own for glory". |

| #87 That game was really great. And there is no replay for that, i remember it was a load, watchable on ggtv only (if any1 care to dig it up in anyway to watch nowadays...). I remember mym losing all 6 towers without taking a single one, and still making a great comeback with a farmed potm by slahser. I was just a little noob that started watching competitive games, and that game was epic for me ^^. |

| Oh yes I remember this one! Also the one where MYM tried a push strat but failed and vigoss was VS. Heck, I think he was the highest level even though this hero nowadays ends on one of the last places. Good times good times! Wont be as entertaining to watch today but back then.......that was the shit, man! |
| 6.43 = more turtle than now, they just did it badly. This game is 72 minutes. Today's dota games are less than 40 minutes, 6.64 was labelled the farm version and games lasted 55 to 60 minutes, rarely more. They gang for the first 20 minutes. At 10 minutes heroes have about 20 creeps, 20 minutes they have 40 creeps. At 30 minutes the potm has 2 bracers boots and gloves of haste. That shows very weak skill at last hitting, only bottom lane had any real harrass. All the heroes have no items due to slow tower taking and bad cs, gank is easy when people only have like +12 or +18 strength and no other items. Nowadays in most games you watch teams have taken 3 or 4 towers by the 25 minute mark, accumulated more items. And we get to see 5 man pushes on towers. Even in 6.64 they pushed more early towers than in this game. Just people actually have items so they are harder to kill, if people had no idea how to last hit like in this game, then today we also would run around trying to make kills. The only impressive kill made this entire game was when potm tanked tower bot and sven ran in to make a kill and then potm came back for an arrow kill. Very good But today we see teamfights with amazing coordination and spell usage, the sandking in this game is terrible. Stop flaming current dota, it is much better than these 'old' games. Today's dota players are much more skilled and coordinated. And the games are quicker. Just because people have the skill to actually hit creeps properly doesn't mean that all they do is farm....................................... There are far more teamfights in current dota PS : I've seen better saihl2 games |
| No one beside me found this boring? Watched 2x10 mins parts and the final one +2 or 3 team fights and I got bored to dead and I am seriously curious how one can watch all the 8 parts. Pubs nowadays play better than this. |
| You flamers are right about almost everything, competitive dota is way more professional now. The game isn't here to be compared (3-4years ago few players in the world could play at THAT level, and most of them would get stomped by mym or vp whenever they show up with another team). The game is here as a part of dota memory, most players got their dota passion from watching these guys and then enjoying their own games later (i did), including China pros. And even tho the skill level looks weaker, these games were very enjoyable back then. For those who like perfection and don't care about the past, don't bother watching. |
| First of all, everyone who thinks that these games are boring to watch, don't bother commenting. Secondly, this is where awesome dota games were born, even before this game was even played. They layed the basis for competitive dota as it is now. So instead of talking down the gameplay back then with your stupid comments, respect it instead, because you play the advanced game, if this game is the father , then you are the children that came out of it. These are your ancestors if you want to call it so. Don't talk down the amazing skill they displayed back then. Just because you think you could have done the same, doesn't make it right for you to downgrade this. You have no right at all anyway, since most of you weren't even there to experience this great era. Besides, comparing the current version with the ones back in the day is retarded and out of line. |
