EHOME wins ESWC

ESWC has finally come to an end with EHOME taking home with a flawless victory, losing none of their games at all.EHOME who topped the GosuGamer's poll as to who will win ESWC have just done that. The most impressive part of their win is their sheer dominance of the tournament, EHOME has not lost a single match throughout the competition.
In day three, MYM meet Nirvana.GiGa.int in the first match of the day to determine who will advance in the losers bracket. MYM quickly defeated Nirvana.GiGa.int leaving the American team with a fourth place finish. Shortly after, it was the game between DTS and EHOME to determine who will have the one game advantage from the losers bracket. While DTS put on a good fight, they quickly fell to EHOME, sending them to the losers bracket finals to face the Danes.
DTS bounced backed from their defeat to EHOME by defeating MYM allowing them to face EHOME once again to get their revenge. However that was not possible as the Chinese team proved they are the best in the world and claiming the first place prize money of 14,000 USD by defeating the Russians in under 40 minutes.

| EHOME really deserved this...but i think that 3 games vs DTS were kinda boring...not boring matches, but dude 3 matches same team, and same victory? i was hoping that MYM will defeat DTS so we will see EHOME vs MYM...i know EHOME would prodably win, but this tournament was kinda boring...you dont have to agree all with me but i think MYM deserved a chance to fight with EHOME even if that means that they get raped, it would still be good match :) |
| When you say DotA Asia, you mean entire Asia except China, cause they got their own game. And it's way above everyone elses. The devotion EHOME put in their games, that's lots of practice, lots of patience, no ego-players, tight teamplay, dominance at all lanes. Just wow... Europe teams will have to stop play these silly Inhouse Leagues and start scrim scrim scrim if they want to have a remote chance at SMM vs chinese teams. And they need to study why they got owned. But nevertheless, well played by many teams and players during this event. As I somewhat expected (and hoped for) DTS was the best of the EU scene. |

| Congratulations to EHOME! They really raped every team that played against them. To Europe teams what #63 said about scrim scrim scrim and hopefully they can put up a better show in SMM. Anyway it was really disappointing that we did not see any original strategies by any of the teams or any surprising picks like the BG team did against AEON. |

| I think this talk of whether China represents Asian dota or not is really disingenuous and is propagated by people who don't want to give credit to Asian dota. When Chinese teams played 3 carry "boring" strategies, they represented Asia and thus "Asian dota is boring and nothing but farming" even though the rest of Asia played differently. But when a Chinese team dominates at an event like ESWC the claim is that they don't represent Asia and so Asian dota still sucks -- only Chinese dota is good. The very same people who make these claims would also give credit to all of EU dota had DTS won, had TeG won, had MYM won, instead of delineating it to UKR > China or DEN > China, etc.. Please stop grasping at straws, people. |
| undoubtedly, ehome got an astonishing journey in ESWC. and i found that there are only few teams which had defeated ehome, like LGD.sgty, deity, ToT, CH, in recent months. i've heard many times that chinese dota is just a game of tedious farming and pushing, at last we recognized ehome pwned most of the heads during a whole ESCW. c analyse more and more chinese dota replays to reach a resolution to get our boats out of their winds. also, that outcome derives from a condition that there are nearly a million dota players in china, thats really amazing! in the end, congratulations to Ehome, DTS, MYM! |
| Ofcourse EHOME and other professional chinese dota teams will be superior to european teams. Their job is to play dota, they do it to make a living, if you practise something 8 hours a day almost every day you're bound to become great at it. And atm the only real professional dota players live in Asia, so ofc they will be better then their european opponents. As an example, if a couple of friends play football against, lets say Real Madrid(professionals), they will most certainly loose. And we got the exacly same situation here, it wasn't a question if, but rather how easy EHOME would win ESWC, since they were the only real professionals at this event. And they play versus the best teams in the world on a regular basis, forcing them to step up their game a couple of notches compared to these other teams. So how about everyone take a chill-pill and just enjoy the beauty of chinese Dota and how well they've managed to master it. |

one game advantage from the losers bracket worst invention ever made! A _REAL_ best of 3 would be fairer to determine the winner or a bo5. If EHOME would have one such a final i would call them rly unbeatable for european teams. And yeah kinda sucked to "watch" nothing on dotacast with ~10k viewers/listeners.... |

| well... i will like to correct those who claim that china is not Asian let's take for example, if an Europe team had won the tournament, maybe DTS, do you think us(the Asian) claiming DTS to be a non Europe team is a logic??? I'm sure you will think us(the Asian) are claiming something to make ourself feel better if that so. So please accept the fact that currently Asian > EU. Besides, who said that the rest of the Asian are unable to compete the level of EU teams??? We had Starsboba, Kingsurf which did not had the budget to attend ESWC and they are some of the non-china teams which had the level to fight against Ehome at least. If you don't believe it, let's wait for the upcoming SMM and I'm pretty confident its a full Asian dominance. And when I said Asian, I mean ASIAN which includes EVERY ASIAN TEAMS. I'm just telling according to facts and I hope EU teams stop calling Asian playstyle to be boring while some of them are even trying to copy the playstyle of Asian with 3 carries(proven at ESWC grandfinal where DTS going for SF, Razor and Drow). |

| #91 u didn't get my point... it was a __final__ played in "bo3" eventhough it was bo1 for EHOME ... there shouldn't be the noobish +1 if u won the WB final. which such an advantage EHOME had alot more chances of winning the final beforehand would be interesting to see if they would be able to rape DTS in a bo5 or a real bo3 |
