CnB's Polar Interviewed

As one of the participants for ESWC, CNB emerged to represent the Brazilian DotA yet undiscovered by many. Hence, one of the team's players, Polar, has been interviewed by GosuGamers to illustrate a few things about his team as well as the team's view on ESWC.

Can you give a brief introduction of yourself?
My name is César Meira Souza. I'm 23 and I have been playing dota since 2003. Always stopping for a few months and coming back...

So tell us a bit about your team, CNB. who is in the team and what roles do they play?
I was actually invited to this team to play ESWC. Their former captain cannot play on the date. So, since I have been the captain of the top team in Brasil for the last 2 years and my team has been inactive for the last few months, CNB invited me. Of course, I could not refuse this opportunity. Recently another player from my old team, Luc4sxD, was also invited as one of CNB's member could not go.

What about the other three?
So we have Darky, who plays carry/semi-carry; Brtt, who usually plays carry; Sune who plays ganker, semi-carrys and carry; Lucasxd who plays support, and I, who play whatever needed to complete the team.

So what do you think about the teams that is involved in ESWC?
I think they got a nice diversity of teams and countries. Lots of bests in the world, some teams not famous at all, and i hope this ESWC will have lots of surprises, and I'm looking forward to playing with the big teams on lan.

So what about the teams from Asia? What do you think of them?
I think Asia today has the majority of the top players and teams in the world, and any of them in ESWC will be very hard to beat.

Are you prepared for the competition?
We are doing what we can: to prepare. However, with changes in the team and a few random things like internet problems, we are playing way less then I expected. Hope we can practice more from now on...we are going to get together a few days before going to France. It will be the best way to get prepared, and do well in the competition.

Do you think ur team will cause a surprise?
Hmm, I definately think so. Anything can happen in this kind of competition, but we are confident we can do well.

What are your top four picks (teams) for the finals?
EHOME, LGD.YS, CNB(xD), Blight

Do you think ur team will cause a surprise?What teams are you afraid of facing against?
Honestly, we are not afraid of any team or player.

Is ur team preparing some strategies to beat the top EU teams?
Hm I dont think having a specific strat works in dota. It always depends on the other team picks...so we have a strong way of playing, and some unusual picks and counters we may use.
