MaNia- Interviewed

We are nearing the end of our Pre-ESWC interview. This time, we talk to Mania- of MYM. However, due to the team being busy bootcamping, this will just be a short interview, highlighting some important questions.

Hello, thank you for sparing your time with us. Could you give a brief introduction of yourself?
-"Hey ya all I'm known as MaNia- in DotA and Brian in real life. I've played DotA for too many years to be countable now, but playing with my long time friends Maelk and Pusher keeps me motivated to keep on playing."

I am sure your team is already well known to the community, but could you give us an introduction of your team, MYM?
-"My team for ESWC consists of Me, Maelk, Playmate, Pusher and Baby. Maelk is the captain and in charge of the calls in game and plays mostly support heroes at the moment. Then we have Playmate the carry/ganker and Baby as our primary carry. Pusher is in charge of the main support and the bad jokes. I myself mostly play melee initiation/ganker."

How do you feel about upcoming ESWC?
-"I'm really excited and looking forward to meet all the players from the different teams. I'm sure it's gonna be a very interesting event!"

So is there any special training going on in MYM?
-"We are just practicing as much as we can, mostly against TeG, OK and LOST. Mostly trying to get Baby to feel welcome and comfortable within the team, so he knows that the team got his back. It's also important that we get a good teamwork going. Also we are currently at bootcamp with LOST"

So how do you feel about Babyknight replacing Lacoste?
-"It's of course very unfortunate that Lacoste isn't able to go, but I'm sure Babyknight is going to do a good job. He has proven to be a very stable player who always contributes to the team's victory."

So with regard to Babyknight's replacement, has there been any change to MYM's playstyle?
-"I can't really reveal too much, since we are saving some surprises for the event."

Then how do you feel about KuroKy's joining OK?
-"Kuro is a very good player, so I'm sure OK is going to be a tough contender after hiring KuroKy. ESWC is an event you cant miss, so if joining OK means he can go, then he should go for it. Was unfortunate TeamHome didn'tt get to go. They would probably have received an invitation if they didn't play the Russian qualifier."

Is KuroKy the reason why you're training hard with OK?
-"We are just playing vs those teams, because they are the ones searching at the same times as we are."

What about the Asian teams? How are you guys feeling about them?
-"It's always nice playing against teams we normally don't get the opportunity to play because of the delay. They are really strong at LAN, so they are definitely going to be tough opponents."

So which team do you think has high chance of winning?
-"EHOME, LOST, MYM"

If you were to pick one of them, who would it be?
-"Of course MYM man."
