Teaching an old dog new tricks

The oldest Romanian league ever, RCPL, has made a come back and promises to be bigger than ever, for players as well as fans.

The Romanian CyberGames Private League, which takes place throughout the year, was put into practise in order to improve the general standard of play within Romania. Unfortunately, the league faced some financial trouble last year when sponsors didn't live up to their promises. Thanks to an intelligent solution from the organisers, the league is back for 2010 and offers a prize pool of 2250 Euro spread between the top fifty teams. When compared to other leagues in and around Romania, this is one of the largest prize pools for an inhouse league.

For those doubting the financial standings of the league, the admins have released a deposit statement from the bank. This statement confirms that the money is there and that is dedicated to the league.

TeG-Ly0n, who is one of the head admins, has layed down the laws of the land:

The -startgame feature has been enforced in order to prevent stacking. Players will only listen to their captain, who will be chosen at the end of each 'startgame'. Only one person will have the power to vouch and that is RCL.PrivateLeague. Only 3 people will handle the league. The league will have only 2 ranks, Member and Prophet. Prophet is a Head Admin without vouch and challenge power.

The staff are as follows:

RCL.PrivateLeague - Highest rank, and the only one that can vouch. (Doesn't have challenge access).

[T.G]Z3br4-Ever - Prophet. Will be in charge of taking care of the league and handling the media. (Doesn't have vouch and challenge access).

TeG-Ly0n - Prophet. Will be in charge of warning and basically everything else that holds the league together. (Doesn't have vouch and challenge access).

To take part in the league, players may register on the league's official website from 9th March - 25th March. One can register for as many leagues as one wants, in order to solidify one's presence in the league.

The first season of the league will take place from 25th March - 25th April. The money in the account will only be released by the sponsors and the owner of the league once the first season is complete in order to pay the respectable players.

This league has managed to overcome it's difficulties and return in order to continue it's great service towards Romanian DotA. It promises to be a great success and with three dedicated admins, RCPL will surely reach new heights.
