Due to the great response that AEDL has received from players and fans alike, AEDL admins have announced the launch of EEDL.The European Elite DotA League is met with great expectation. As with AEDL, EEDL will work through a vouch system, with top players automatically qualifying to play. The usual powerhouse teams such as TheRetry, DDT and Nirvana.int have all been invited, with XX5, a team which performed exceptionally in the EDC, being the "surprise draw". Special invitations have been offered to two Asian teams, Nirvana.cn and Aeon.cgc.
EEDL admin, TekniqZ, seems quite pleased with their progress so far:
-"After the huge success and popularity of AEDL, Suppy and I have decided to create the EEDL or European Elite Dota League. This will serve the purpose of AEDL but will be aimed at the European sector and we expect a huge response from the fans. This league will be up and running very shortly and we hope to see all the invited teams there. For any queries contact myself or suppy via garena."
Suppy and TekniqZ seem to be taking over the world with their elitist leagues. This is truly a great step forward towards a global DotA village.

| #14 to clarify for you, AEDL is an inhouse dota league, therefore it never ends, it is just top players who want to play at the highest level and lastly the invites to only two asian teams is because the asian teams will be staying in AEDL :) |

| #24 only Nirvana Int and Aeon.Cgc and Nirvana.Cn can join both as we want to maintain the split at the moment between Europe and Asia, we are currently working on a very very good hostbot that will limit the lag europeans have to under 90ms |

| #26 maybe because in DP2 the rules are quite.. abused, as well as there's a lot of players who, in my opinion, are far from the required skill of a top-league. |
