Official: PlaymatE and Lacoste strengthen MYM

With the release of miGGel and AngeL, the renowned MeetYourMakers have added PlaymatE and Lacoste to their DotA roster.
- "We have a lot of work to do, to regain our rightful place amongst the best of Europe," says Maelk in a statement on the team webpage.
Amel "PlaymatE" Barudzija was playing for MeetYourMakers already back in 2008 as a stand-in to win DreamHack Winter, but was later on released.
Lacoste suggested by PlaymatE
Dominik "Lacoste" Stipic, who just as PlaymatE was last seen playing for Tribal Gaming, went on to win last year's DreamHack Winter tournament. The Croatian player was suggested by PlaymatE to steer the last wheel in MYM.
- "He suggested we tried out Lacoste as our fifth, something we had already thought about considering both his skill as well as personality. Through our practice games and from what we already knew, he worked fine with us and helped utilizing our potential even further," says Maelk.

| loong road ahead before MYM comes back to the prominence they once had, but this is definitely a step in the right direction. But I think losing angel and miggel hurt them more than they let on, since now Maelk begrudgingly comes back to the leadership role he once let go. Right now, I don't even think they break the top 5 in europe (Nirvana, Aeon, Rox.kis, DDT, TEG) so it's going to be tough for them. It's important that fanboys realize they are pretty average team now and not OMG RAGE everytime they come up short. Patience. |

| Maelk only good player in MYM, so i gotta say still .. Nirvana.int > MYM > DDT Merlini, KuroKy and Fear is too OP in a team ... U'll see.. But I know Maelk still can lead his team for victory, he will always be the strategy master. |

| still think pusher needs to improve/change his playstyle for mym to come back. individual skills matter a lot more these days. supports need to be able to farm fast and hold his own and not just to babysit and put wards and do nothing in teamfights or caught out of position and die. u can see how different lets say demon or ct.net is to pusher in terms of their contribution in teamfights imo. no farm , all wards but still a very irritating presence in teamfights for the enemy. not saying pusher is a bad support or anything. just that support need to be more than just that nowadays. good examples : ehome.820 in recent games. ct.net. demon's kotl or lich. |

| Angel//miggel > lacose/playmate, so the new team is nothing better than the previous mym. If mym really wants to be on the top of europe, they should get the fucking "i am in the top of europe" out of their mind. |

| But you can't just command that everyone has to get better individually? 820 is like the most skilled player in the world perhaps and you name his as an example. So pusher-street watches replays now of ehome playing? I guess he does, but I don't think that he will play like 820, not because he is a bad player, no, but because he is NOT 820, he is pusher and that's it. |

| Seems like the best possible addition they could get. A carry whos as good as Angel, if not better, and an all-round player in Lacoste whos definitely better than MiGGeL. Looking forward to see the replays from u guys :) |
| Yeah, just give them some time and I'm pretty sure they'll work out fine. I mean, seriously, after all these years, how often have you seen MYM fail? They're not the best team in Europe, but they're definitely the most consistent. |
