2009: "ZSMJ is best the Chinese carry!"

Posted by Vincent "em0_llama" Nunes 2 years ago
Having recently been bested by EHOME in the Unicom cup, LGD's 2009 shed some light on the team.

Sgamer's Xiaobei had a chance to speak to 2009, exploring territories such as the strength of EHOME and the future of LGD.

Below is his view on the new EHOME roster:

-"The new Ehome team is extremely powerful, and won the last 6.64 match with a dominant performance. Burning and Dai are solid and smart carries, while 357 and KingJ took an aggressive stance regardless of what role they played. One of their greatest assets is the fact that their captain, 820, has the ability to bring the team together and find a synergy between all the players. When he plays support, he is very effective at letting the carry farm up, when it comes to late game, his map awareness is invaluable as it allows the team to gain control. At the same time KingJ and Burning bring a brilliant and fresh tactical concept to the team."

With it being a new year with fresh starts, 2009 spoke about the year ahead, what it has in store for LGD and what is being done to make it a successful one:

We are a powerhouse!
-"CUC is the first event that YYF has attended with us, but I believe with time he will mature and grow accustomed to our game play and our synergy will continue to grow. Besides, by playing more and more tournaments, yyf will get more experience and will be able to familiarize himself with the atmosphere one encounters at those events. He will then be able to display his unique understanding of dota and make use of the talent that we all see in him!

Our roster was totally fresh and new in this tournament. Though we only reached second place, Sharigan's ability to gank and his understanding of crowd control, WAQT's devotion as a support player, along with ZSMJ's strength as the best carry in China, convince me that we are still a powerhouse! Now I'm fully confident in our future. With a solid sponsorship and a powerful team, coupled with constantly improving teamplay, we will go far."

2009's confidence in his team should be the spark to the flame of pride inside every LGD fan, and if things go their way, they promise to be serious contenders for the major titles this year.

its not really easy to remember because its a number.
letters or word [ex:misery] is much easier to remember because its catchy.
maybe its just a random name they made.

2009's nickname has something to do with the chinese culture that states the most important year of a person's life is when he/she hits twenty,or so I've heard.

SlickDragon and assassina will be happy to see some news about the chinese teams (although they probably have seen this on Sgamer already).

When it comes to such great teams, I am hppy myself to know they're remembered.

Summarizing what 2009 said (and I totally agree with it): "EHOME's team is better now, but LGD's potential is bigger. In time, LGD will be strong enough again to beat not only EHOME but every other team in the world".

Am I the only one that doesn't like these LGD/FTD guys?
I think EHOME put them to their place, and soon other asian teams will too.
