Round one of GosuCup coming to a close as Europe defeats the best of Asia.Standings:
| Round one fixtures | ||
| Team | Result | Team |
XtC | < | Tribal.int |
dmZ | < | MCiTY |
Blight.int | > | TheShit! |
DTS | > | LaginHed |
TeG | > | DIPS |
Kingsurf | < | AEON.ru |
SGC | > | PMS|Asterisk* |
MYM | > | Pandemic |
All eight games of GosuCup round one has been played with exception of the game between SGC and PMS|Asterisk*. Due to some technical difficulties, one of PMS's player was unable to join the game being hosted. After trying for over an hour, both teams decided to postpone the match to a later time. But due to PMS heading to ShangHai for the IronLady DotA tournament, they were given a default loss.
Top teams such as DTS, TeG and MYM took down their opponent easily and will now proceed to round two.. The Asian teams, KingSurf and XtC were unable to impress, being defeated by AEON.ru and Tribal.Int respectively. While the game between Blight.Int vs TheShit! should be watched as Puppey showed how deadly a well-played Visage can really be.
Round two of GosuCup will be starting very soon. GosuBets will be provided, but in the meantime watch some of the great matches that were played during round one Here.
| lag? |
| i know... |
| Good luck to Aeon.Ru and Blight.int |
| stop whining down asians..oh i am asian :)) btw Tribal.Int vs. MCity, Blight.Int vs. DTS, TEG vs. Aeon.ru, MYM vs. SGC just frankly hoping to see this matches... |
| owh man..dont start it.. |
| lol lemme stop it before it grows into a giant flame thread. why dont we all just get a long and wish the teams who advanced to the next round the best of luck. |
| i wonder if aeon.ru can stop blight.. |
| I think the heading is totally wrong ... "Europe defeats the best of Asia" would be "Europe defeats the best of Asia with lag and delay" ... as a personal opinion, i think asian teams are a bit better than european ones. |
| why EnotHOME does not play in this tournament ? :( they were not invited ? too bad TeG and AEON.ru meet each other in this round, both teams belong to top3 imho :) |
| Hope to see Blight.int vs AEON.ru That will be a great match |
| Blight FTW! |
| all Asian Team owned... not good :/ |
| win with lag and delay |
| get over it you cant Always win... hope AEON win this :] |
| ALL players from ALL countries are good... just different play styles, if europeons beat asian teams 100-0 then you can say they are better but its constant win and lose so it doesnt even matter. The level of play is so high there are very fine lines which constantly move and are invisible :), you can never predict dota, always shocking results in every game/competition so shush to all the europe asian crap. |
| final: blight.int vs who? hope TEG |
| #19 deny your comment is not enought, you will write bullshits in another topic, go ban |
| I hope see Blight.int victorius! |
| Its possible to have a decent online game with EU/America/Australia players (MCity playing many online tournaments). Why its not possible to have a decent and fair match with top Asian teams? Organizers of GosuCup should think about it. Its their responsibility to provide fair conditions to all the teams. Otherwise, these victories mean nothing and players from Asia will not attend next time. If you want international tournament you must have technology and ability to do it. Besides that, Gosucup is cool and I'm looking forward to other matches. |
| LAG!
|
| the problem with euro teams is that they already have good internet and yet theyll force asian teams to play a fucking UShost bot!!!!! sorry admins i have to let it out!!! so why not next play on asia host then if u win theres no more excuse.. |
Top teams such as DTS, TeG and MYM took down their opponent easily and will now proceed to round two.. yes, DTS raped LAG... NOT |
| @22. We appreciate the comments. But you have to understand. MCiTY is Australian, they have way better connection than Malaysia. Trust me, I know. I'm a Malaysian, but I've been studying in Australia. The connection in Malaysia is just a joke compared to anywhere else. Singapore isnt that much better either. |
| Aeon.Ru vs Blight final would be epic. Sad that Pandemic & DIPS didn't get through :( |
| aeon ru i think must 1st pass teg to get to blight if the brackets are like in the picture |
| OMG EU > ASIA SO LOL <---- EU FAKED NOOBNESS ON SMM TO NOW WIN THE IMPORTANT CUP YEAH AZUMPRO VIGOSS |
| lag > all |
| Another very well written article Terrence |
| LAG ALWAYS OWN!!! No matter how good of a player you are even if you are the best in the world in any game when it comes to lag and delay.... YOU LOSE!!!!!!!! |
| #26 Okey, thx for explanation. It seems there is no way to have fair EU/Asia online match... |
| omg, dont write such a stupid topic, you know what will happen Gosucup is awesome, -cd best mode |
"due to PMS heading to ShangHai for the IronLady DotA tournament, they were given a default loss. "![]() |
| Can't the organizers of the tournament get a neutral hostbot for matches? Neutral in terms of distance and ping/latency. Otherwise inviting Asian teams would be totally useless. Such a waste, I thought that this tournament would satisfy my craving for dream matches. Sadly connection issues would always be there. |
| Funny to see the asian's already with the tears in their eyes and pulling excuses out of every corner before the europeans even said a word, try to act bit more maturely will ya. |
| *flameproof vest on* And of course, we know why the Asian teams lost - it's due to the horrible lag, and them playing for fun/fans... *off* |
| #38 Are you saying that Asians playstyle is for fans rather than european ? |
| lol lag |
| Lag become a godlike I hope got some LAN tounament. It say more exactly |
| do you know why the PMS player is unable to join? [spoiler] 88,888 miles away thats why. even the mere fact of locating the game presents itself a problem |
| why don't you organize Gosucup Euro and Asia separately? there will still be many reps of top teams for the fans, fair ones to be exact. and the best thing is there will be much less EurovsAsia flames from stupid fanboys of both sides, as easily seen in AeonruvsKS replay. |
| do developed asian countries as Japan and South Korea also lag on such same conditions? as @26 stated, Malaysian and Singaporean connections have low quality, so you can't blame the GosuCup organization for lags, since the majority of countries offer good connections and lag-free games... |
| Blight.int all the way. |
| malaysian and singapore net has always been bad, even on a neutral host. |
| nice matches. looking forward to more GOSU matches. |
| Both of the headlines flamebait needlessly on the Asians vs. Europeans conflict, which has of late calmed down. Why do that? |
| @43. We already have that in mind. |
| LOL @ flamebaits from Gosu's crews. Looking for ways to generate more traffic? |
