SearchEDC Catch-up week

The European Dota Championship is putting new match-ups on hold, giving the teams a catch-up week where they get the time to play those matches that should have already been played.Every week, teams get a new match-up, but there are still lots of matches remaining. Because of some teams disbanding and other teams coming in to fill the empty spots, things got complicated and certain matches needed to be scheduled and played again.
This week is devoted to catching up, all teams have until the end of Sunday to finish postponed matches. Otherwise, some serious consequences are to be expected.
Quoting EDC administrator Beast_Pete:
"Any team missing even a single match till the end of the Catch-Up Week is banned from the Razer EDC PL and all other future Garena hosted tournaments."
So far only DTS managed to play all of their 6 matches. It will be an intense week if all teams are aiming to stay in the tournament.

| I will post news about dmZ, but yup it's true. They left the league as they already had 3 losses out of their 3 games and they have no time for all of their tournaments and leagues. |

| actually EDC/EEDC is the only tour that pays up all the prizes in 30days or so, which you really cant say for other tournaments, and valera i doubt you were able to play eedc before as it was only for eastern europe, this is the first season where whole europe is included ;) |

| #4 Great, would be nice if organizers of the tournaments published explanations in time. Instead we need to run around asking clan members. For example, in EMS, they switched FD and DTS for playoffs and didn't tell the reason for about a week or so. |

| good..coz its starting to feel like teams are not giving a shit about the EDC..they should really respect the admins and the organizers of the tournament.. teams should look to the ADC for good examples..just my 2 cents |

Mb banning is a harsh decision but we try to make things working, some teams apreaciate and do theier job (play) some just don't care and for that why to leave them in league since other can take their place? other teams that want to play ... ? |

| +1 EDC/EEDC best tour ever. Pete imba guy, always there for the players, and yes it's true what Baja said, they payed out our money in 2 weeks. Unlike other tournaments these guys take their job seriously. |

So shut up you please. What's the reason behind threatening the teams on public if not to make drama shit? this ain't the way for dota to become serious. PD: This is just, again, my own opinion. |

| The reason of threating teams to ban is simply that it's a professional event, not an amateur one. Of course we are still not absolutely professional either, if we do mistakes, we always apologize for them, we are humans, but don't forget that this tournament is for a total of 2500$, EEDC I & II had 1500$ and ENADC I # II had 1000$ as prize money. And there are only 10 teams playing in the EDC Pro League. The chances of winning money and much bigger amount is higher than in the previous Garena events for Europeans. That said, I think it's not a big request from us towards the teams to consider this event more seriously than any other tournament which have less money involved. If you don't have time, then don't take the offer when I invite you. If you take it, then you are bound to the event. And this is not a tournament, where you can just FF and cause no trouble. This is a league and if you quit at the beginning, then you waste a lot of our time ( our = admins/organizers ). I had to work a lot on solving the problems because of teams disbanding or leaving and after that, some teams still didn't play their matches on time. This is a chance for them to play their missing games. In real professional events the organizers wouldn't care about them too much and would just kick+ban them out of the league and let the remaining teams fight for the money. So I think we are already way more lenient than we should be. #32: yup, dmZ doesn't care, because they lost 3 out of their 3 games. And they hadn't even met MYM, TeG or AEON.ru to mention only 3 top scroing teams. They didn't have real chances at grabbing prizes, so in a way it's understandable they rather concentrate on the other leagues. Their choice. Rules remain rules nonetheless. |
